ReviewnI usually love shopping at Style Encore shops and have had great experiences exploring their various branches. However, my recent visit to the Markham branch left me disappointed, especially considering it was my first time there.nnI spent over $130 during my visit, purchasing two Michael Kors shirts, each priced at $20 which I intended as a gift for my father. Initially, I was thrilled with my purchases. However, upon returning home and inspecting the shirts a few days later when my dad tried them on, we discovered an unpleasant odor emanating from one of the shirts. I hadn't noticed it at the time of purchase, even after removing the tags.nnThe following day, I returned to the store to address the issue and requested an exchange. Unfortunately, the staff member, a girl, was quite rude and unwelcoming. Despite presenting my receipt and the shirts, she refused to accept my request, citing the lack of a tag on one of the shirts. It was clear that I had purchased the shirts from their store, and even another staff member who had assisted me previously didn't intervene.nnWhen I attempted to speak with the owner, my concerns were dismissed, and I felt accused of dishonesty. This experience left me feeling extremely disheartened, especially since I am a loyal customer and had even made an additional purchase of a bag worth $30 during this visit.nnWhile I still value the products and offerings at this shop, I believe there is room for improvement in terms of customer service and staff behavior. I hope to see positive changes in the future, as I do plan to return.nnThank you for your response, first of your shop is the only one of your three branches that I visit as it is close to where I live , second of all a bargain isn’t something that you’ll easily forget where you got it from as you always intend to go back for more and were not even talking about my mum accompany that day so you really are questioning two people’s memories or honesty it’s one or the other.nThird off It is hardly the customers fault If the barcode of the item purchased isn’t matching that of the receipt.nLast, but not least, I could easily be proven wrong by checking your CCTV around the time and the date that the purchase was made rather than going back-and-forth and or denying altogether as when I approached you first your argument was that you’re not going to accept the return because it’s missing the tag rather than saying the purchase was not made , wouldn’t you agree?nAt the end of the day, I’ve bought five items there and found an issue with only one of them and I’m sure I don’t need to tell you such experiences will always leave the bad taste in customers mouth without being accused of forgetfulness or dishonesty over at $20 purchase So there you have the reason for my frustration.
I go thrifting often but by far this style encore I had the best experience. Everything is organized so nicely by size, colour, and style. The customer service is impeccable. Nordia in particular was so sweet, helped me with the change rooms, I saw her helping others with styles they might like. My experience was amazing and I would definitely come back and recommend to others.
The staff at the markham store are absolutely a joy! So very pleasant to welcome us and show us where things are!nThe store is so nicely stocked and easy to shop in! A pleasure and treat for us to visit! My granddaughter loved it!

We had a great time. My mom and my aunt can the day before and just had to bring me. So many original beautiful things. The service was high grade luxury, helping with styling, sizing, honesty and friendly. Will be back.
