** DO NOT SELL YOUR CLOTHES TO THIS PLATO'S CLOSET / DO NOT BUY FROM THIS PLATO'S CLOSET**nnSave yourself the time, stay away from the condescending staff/owners and the energy to end up in our position to write a review. Following all the previous reviews before me, my family and I have spend plenty of time sorting through countless brands of slightly used or unused clothing to sell and this Plato's Closet in particular will consistently waste your time for over 3 hours, make rude tones and comments about your clothing. This is our third time dropping off bags to this location, I purposely tied the bag in a specific knot to prove that they do NOT take the time to look at the clothes, they would much rather call you back in three hours to tell you they did not pick any clothing and make a comment regarding the items you donated. It is also reflective of their inventory and the lack of brand and style knowledge. Read the reviews and understand that they do not care for any feedback. REMEMBER if an owner can consistently reply on the reviews reminding customers about their minimum wage staff. It's never a good sign of a understanding customer facing business. TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE. I have had far better experiences at any other Plato locations.nnWould not even rate it a 1 Star, just needed it to post this review.
Do NOT support this Plato’s closet location. By far the worst customer service you’ll experience, don’t waste your time. I dropped off a couple bags of clothing, all in good shape. They told me it would take around two hours for them to look through it, which compared to other locations, is already an unreasonable amount of time for the quantity of clothing I brought. After waiting more than three hours, I finally received a text. Upon arriving, the extremely rude employee told me that they wouldn’t be able to take ANY of my clothing because of an “odour”. Which is completely false because I wash all of my clothes before bringing it in, not to mention most of them had tags on and were brand new. I’ve taken clothing to multiple other platos locations and have NEVER experienced this issue. This is third time this has happened at this location and the reason is because they hire lazy teenagers who have zero customer service experience and don’t even bother to look through your clothing. They’ll use the excuse “we’ve been busy” as if more than two people are in the store at a time, not to mention the fact that all I ever see the workers doing is talking behind the counter. They’ll claim they looked through your items and find any excuse as to why they choose not to take anything after wasting hours of your time. But the truth is they don’t look through ANYTHING if they choose not to. Don’t waste your time here, support Plato’s in Scarborough where the workers are much nicer and will actually buy your clothing. Hope to see this location shut down soon, would give zero stars if I could.
Do not come to this place, took 3 bags of clothes, was told to wait about an hour or so, but after 3 hours, still did not receive the SMS notification. I couldn't wait any longer, and when I went into the store, I found that all my clothes had been sorted already. but they didn't send any messages. It was a terrible experience. One of the clerks was so unresponsive. They only accepted two sweaters from the three bags. Note that mine are aritiza, Club Monaco and Burberry, which are popular brands among young people, but they only received two pieces, which is not worth it!
WORST PLATOS CLOSET!!! This particular location is filled with a SAD clothing selection despite the fact that when you try to sell clothes to them they want to take their sweet time sorting through your things for 4 hours just to take 2 damn items!!! Bags and bags filled with brands, filled with seasonal items, filled with a variety of sizes. Always an excuse as to why they didn’t take many items, “items are pilled” “items have an odour” “items are of an older style” yet I always take laundered clothes, worn lightly within a two year window. Just trying to find excuses as to why they don’t want to pay for your clothes. Taking a walk around the store it’s filled with low quality pieces from shein priced the same as the garbage website itself. What a sell out location. Do not take your business to this Plato’s closet, don’t sell your clothes to them and definitely don’t buy clothes from them. Disgusting, would love to give zero stars.nnEdit: Keep in mind that Plato’s closets are franchised, so clearly this franchise owner could give a damn less about keeping good business and hiring mature quality staff. Just looking to pay minimum wage to teenagers with an attitude that needs to be checked.nnEdit 2: The owner’s response clearly proves that there is no accountability taken and no urge to train staff accordingly since delusion has taken over. Swelling her head that it takes 3 hours to sort clothes because they’re such a hot commodity. What an absolute joke.
Spend almost three hours to wait. Still didn’t receive the text message from the shop. Come back to check only got a reason that they didn’t want to any winter clothes. I appreciate for your help, but other people’s time also is important! !
