Sturgeon Woods Campground & Marina

Great place for family camping. Plenty to do for kids. Great indoor pool for kids. Cool set up overall and right down the road from point pelee. Wasn't too impressed with extra costs on arrival which were not introduced in planning. Charged extra for one adult which I could understand if on top of usual rates but we didn't have the children allotted, so.... We were 3 down on the number allowed for the site but charged extra... Otherwise nice people and great experience.

We had a really nice time and good weather. We met some really nice people and enjoyed visiting Point Pelee and having some great Perch at a nearby restaurant. The campground itself was very clean and well maintained.

Bought my passport bh175 here. Very professional and friendly service. Mike gets busy but always answers phone texts and emails promptly and makes sure you get instruction and help with whatever you need. His staff are very friendly and helpful.

Activities for kids are a picnic table with box of crayons. Or glue, paper, markers and sparkles. Nobody organising it. Waterslide small, restricted to bigger children. Had a 5 year old, couldn't go on it, just came from another park twice the size....no problem. Bathroom set up, can see it through gate, but have to walk around out side of building and back in to get to. Difficult with small kids.

Unfortunately, not really a camp ground it seems. Most of the spots at sturgeon woods seem to be occupied by season or long term 5th wheel or RV tenants. Only one other family camping with a tent. This is a trailer park swarming with golf carts. Not remotely a decent camping experience, especially in terms of quiet during the day. There are constantly golf carts with 6 people buzzing by. Bathrooms are too far from anywhere (only one bathroom) for the entire campground. Picnic table at our spot was falling apart. Lots of construction/chainsaws/lawnmowers/weedwackers going throughout the day as well.
