Great bakery and ice cream spot! We stopped in here on our way to Bancroft and will definitely do so again. The food and coffee were on point. Unfortunately, we didn’t try the ice cream but they have lots of flavours to satisfy your cravings. Also, the lady that served us was super nice and friendly! :
The brownies are heavenly! Very chocolatey and fudgey, with the perfect crackled top & extra chocolate chunks throughout!
A neat little place. Great selection of ice cream, yummy breads and baked goodies. A great place to go for coffee when you have the little ones in tow because they have a section with toys that the kids can enjoy. There was lots of counter staff and they were all super friendly. Definitely a can't miss stop when you are in Lakefield.
Here is a lovely cafe in a lovely little town which can get quite busy at times. The people running it are very friendly and helpful. Ask them for directions if you want to avoid turning onto a busy road. There is plenty of free parking along the river right by the cafe and the prices are very reasonable, $ 1.29 for a small coffee. Their wifi is rather weak, though, if that is what you are looking for. It's nice drinking coffee surrounded by little gift items, but I'd like to see more locally made crafts e.g. maple syrup, soap, candles, etc.
The crust was dry and made a mess everywhere but the filling was very tasty. They didn't have much flavors only pecan.
Cute little bakery for mediocre ice cream. They have a kids play area equipped with a mock kitchen and play sets which is nice. They serve Kawartha ice cream so no home made stuff, but their baked goods looked amazing. Sadly I didn't get to try any, but definitely will next time I head up to the cottage!
5++. Amazing, wonderful, warm, humouring and gracious employees. Covid conscious and clean. The ice-cream is premium - the best since being abroad - the coffee, and lattes are delicious. I haven't tried the baked goods yet, but I bought a household's vacation worth based on what I mentioned above. They look and smell divine. Personal note to you both: The first time in awhile I've talked to anyone outside the city, and it was just the perfect spot to stop. Thank you so much for making my first trip anywhere in such a long time off to such a good start.
All the ice cream is delicious. There's so much choice and the staff are lovely. Big thumbs up from England!
Wonderful little cafe in Lakefield. Tasty pastries, excellent meat pies, and lovely staff and atmosphere.
Great coffee and baked goods. Highly recommend the breakfast bite if you’re hungry and don’t mind some grease - fuel for the day, at good value. However, the fritter ball is the standout here - must get! Possibly the best doughnut I’ve had. Never bother with Tim’s again. 4.5 stars.
