Went out in late September with Captain Wayne Garton, having done another whale tour elsewhere on Vancouver Island. Wayne was a real character and between him & the other crew were very informative. The other tour set the bar high, but as far as Wildlife viewing goes, Stubbs Island tours came up top. The scenery on this trip was breath-taking but became second priority once the experienced crew began locating wildlife. This was my second whaling trip ever and I spent it surrounded by more than 18 humpbacks feeding voraciously, saw one whale breach and even a trap-feeding humpback which apparently a behaviour exclusive to these waters. The sheer amount of Wildlife in the area made it easily the best value trip I've seen, and definitely made the journey up to telegraph worthwhile.

Great reputable company to go with for my first time whale watching in Telegraph Cove! Saw lots of killer whales, a few humpbacks, seals, eagles and sea lions. Naturalists were friendly; hard to get much attention with so many other people on board the ship but they tried their best. Overall a really fun trip and well worth the money. Great value for the experience.

Amazing experience! We had so much fun on the water. Great and friendly crew and comfortable boat. We saw several humpback whales, a family of five Orca whales, a sea lion, seal, bald eagles and deer. It was the best spent investment of our vacation. We would definitely go with Stubbs again. As we found out the hard way, all whale tour companies are not equal. If in Vancouver, avoid Wild Whales Vancouver. Total flake company.

First time on whale watching tour. I saw humpback whales, porpoises swimming alongside the boat, countless orcas of two different families, and seals. It was amazing to hear them socializing in live time with underwater microphone!! Naturalists who told us who the orcas were and which families were out there mingling. Captain and staff were so friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommended!!

Amazing, first-class operation with excellent crew, environmentalists who can answer nearly any question about the whales and sea life, and a custom boat that is comfortable for anyone. My favorite spot is in the wheelhouse with the captain, where I can ask questions, hear answers to others' questions and quickly duck out the door to take photos on the deck; it's a great spot when the weather is iffy, too. You won't go wrong with Stubbs, and so reasonably priced for the experience. While we've always seen whales (not always orcas), the trip is so worth it. Charge your camera battery in advance for sure!
