Went whale watching twice with seasmoke on a recent trip up from Victoria and we were so thrilled with our experience each time. Their guides are so friendly and knowledgeable, we had so many laughs and learned something new each time. We saw humpbacks, orcas, dalls porpoises and sea lions!!! As someone who struggles with anxiety, I was so thankful for how safe I felt in their care. These people really know what they’re doing! Very grateful for such a lovely experience each time we went out with them. We will undoubtedly be back again for more!! Can’t recommend them enough. :
What a fantastic experience! Nate was an exceptional guide - full of fun and knowledge. I've never seen so many whales!!! Mind blown at the amazing world we live in. Thank you Nate for the specatular, unforgettable afternoon! I can see why people come time and time again!
We had an epic whale watching adventure with Seasmoke. Jeanine and Martin lead our early morning tour. The sun was out, and more importantly, so was the wildlife. Orcas, Humpbacks, dolphins, sea lions, otters, eagles... Oh my!nnI highly recommend this activity. Especially later in Summer. I've heard that's when a lot of the action happens.
We had an awesome morning on the Tour with Nate. We were picked up right at our campground. He is super friendly and has a great knowledge about the wales and nature of Vancouver Island. You could tell that they respect wildlife and gave the animals enough space so they were not harrassed. We saw many humpbacks, orcas, sea lions, seals, seaotter, eagles. Highly recommended.
My husband and I recently went on a tour with Nate and Jeannine at Seasmoke and had the BEST time! We've both been whale watching before south island and other parts of the world but this experience was by far our favourite. We saw orcas, humpbacks, porpoises, dolphins, and sea lions, and even learned some new birds. We probably saw 20-30 whales in total and some came quite close! What sets this company apart is not only their extensive knowledge but also their commitment to ethics and conservation. At times, we felt like we were on a research expedition, learning how to identify the different whales by their markings and dorsal fins. They're really respectful of keeping distance, anticipating whale behaviour, and educating the guests. We learned SO much about the whales and local wildlife and will absolutely choose Seasmoke when ready for another adventure! You guys are awesome! :nPS for those curious, we went Sep 8 on the noon tour
