With the day and age of technology very disappointed at the Street eats market. This is my third time going First time last year during the pandemic when it first started it was fantastic there's approximately 10 or so trucks all 10 of them open. The second and third time I went very disappointed lots of the vendors closed now I drove 45 minutes to get to these markets and was looking for a specific food truck that I won't mention that said they're open show up and closed. Now I understand the pandemic we're in and what not but we have the technology to add hours I even heard other people talking why is everyone closed this is something Street eats should govern and monitor. I was there at approximately 12:30 1:00
I definitely recommend trying out the foods at Street Eats Market. They have a great selection of meals to try. The food here is amazing! Made fresh and packed with flavour. The lines during opening hours aren’t that long. It can get pretty busy around dinner hours.
Such a FUN way to eat out with friends or family during this pandemic! I can't remember the names of the vendors but I tried some tacos and a rose crispy chicken burger with fries and they all tasted FANTASTIC! I ordered the food then brought them to eat in my car. I highly recommend checking this place out!
Absolutely love this place. The trucks here are amazing. The place is alwayz clean, even if there is a lineup, it moves fairly quickly. They are following all the covid19 protocols. If you are in the area, do check them out. You wont be disappointed.
This places contains a variety of food trucks all parked in the parking lot of Hillcrest Mall. Lot of options to choose from. Park benches are placed far apart with social distancing. Sunday evening did not seem too crowded. Only downside is that the food takes a lot of time to arrive.
{' } Their service is always amazing! Super friendly and always serving customers with a smile Love how close they are to where I live because I could always use a lobster grilled cheese on tough days -[ ] $ Comes with shoestring fries, an addicting dip, and a pickle Uses perfectly toasted bread Perfect amounts of cheese, to lobster, to bread ratio -[ ] $ Choice of battered halibut, breaded shrimp, grilled octopus, or seared tuna Comes with lime wedges Good amounts of protein in every taco! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- { } This truck is run by a husband and wife duo! They are both so sweet, kind, and funny If you like fusion food, you will LOVE what they offer! Also, their fried chicken is some of the best I have ever had -[ ] $. Oh my goodness, they use a roti instead of a tortilla which is One taco is already super filling but I recommend ordering a second one because you'll want more later Best taco EVER! -[ ] $. I don't know why but I finished this for one meal at lunchtime and I genuinely did not need dinner that day aka super filling Their fries are perfectly crispy! Such another perfect combination of flavors that I highly recommend
Street eats market has a cool concept of having multiple food trucks set up in a parking lot. Tried Buster's sea cover's lobster roll which was pretty good but in my opinion not with $18. Would definitely come back when the weather is warmer to try their different food trucks!
This place is so fun!! Such a great idea for this crazy COVID season that we are living in! We got poke belly baos from I can’t remember which truck it was so good!, a lobster roll from Buster’s Sea Cove small but so delicious, some Korean fried chicken from the Golden Grill truck it was okay... kind of bland, and a cheesecake on a stick from Cheesecake In Tha 6ix decadent but so good!. And then came back 2 days later lol.
We came here at 3pm on Friday. It wasn’t busy thankfully but if you plan on coming here on the weekend you should visit the website and see which food truck has the ability to do pickup orders or check out if they are on UberEats as well. Since they cook and prep as you order you can wait 10min if there’s no line. If it’s busy I can imagine how long you can end up waiting. They have designated parking spots there as well for curbside pickup with the assigned numbers. They have a great mix of different types of food from eastern, bbq, Latin, Korean and even desserts cheesecake and classic funnel cakes. You can go to the website for which truck is available at the time of your visit. It’s great to see events like this created and were able to support our smaller business during this awful COVID year. Here’s a review of what we had: 1 Golden Grill - Korean street food, chefs are a cute Korean couple, very sweet and polite. I got the bulgogi platter that came with rice, slaw, fried dumpling and kimchi. Really good and appreciate all the flavours. I would def visit this truck to try other things. 2 The Arepa Republic - I’ve had their food from the Funky Patacon location and had to come back for more since they started to service RHill. We got the arepa, tequenos and yuca frita. If you come here for only the arepa you HAVE to try their tequenos. They were so amazing and super fresh. The cheese is the best and authentic. 3 La Novella - I had their baja tacos and they were so delicious! You get three, great balance of flavours and hot sauce on the side.
My kids go to eat now especially Saturday. We spend our family time here. I highly recommend the Golden Grill Korean street food and also the cheesecake in the 6ix. We will also try their other location which is at STC.
