We are so happy with our vet. He is the most reasonable small animal vet I've ever had! No pressure, no unnecessary tests and procedures. He could withstand my flurry of questions thrown at him relating to cat physiology and pathology, and set me at ease with his succinct answers. He is very practical, and obviously just here to be a vet, and not a wet food peddler. The supporting staff is lovely to deal with and speak to over the phone of course. My animals and family are happy under Strathy rd's care and look forward to having a reliable down-to-earth, knowledgeable vet.
We found out about this clinic from my step mother and are happy to bring our dog, Magnus, here. Dr. Wyszynski gives you his honest and educated opinion, versus other vets that seem keen on upselling products that they get a cut from. Also, we are allowed to be in the clinic with our dog so he is a little more comfortable and can try and reassure the goober throughout the process, versus a previous experience where our dog wanted nothing to do with the clinic.
Always friendly, and our dog gets a thorough examination every time! We appreciate this Veterinary clinic for the excellent care our dog has received! We have been clients on and off for more 10 years!
Anyone know a good vet clinic? We have 3 dogs all Goldens and we took our 4 month old puppy to Strathy for shots and nails done today. The vet tech yelled at our puppy loudly and harshly to get down when she jumped up to see her, the vet tech had just come out from the back at that point and was looking at dog food on the table, sorry my puppy thought you were greetable, apparently she was wrong. Upon leaving we were told your dog puppy needs training, Um hello none of our dogs start training until 5 months old. We have been working with her on important issues such as leave it, stay, come and leash training until she starts her formal training, maybe try asking before assuming she isn't getting any. I explained how scared she is when she has to have her nails done so they knew what to expect. Our bill seemed higher than usual from last visit for the same shot possibly the nails put the cost up. Sorry to say our 3 dogs won't be returning here. Very disappointed with the front end service. Puppy was so scared when she had her nails done she peed in office, they said they tried to clean it up as best they could, do other dogs and or puppys not pee when they're there? Unfortunately we were not able to go in with her and we can only assume she's healthy as they didn't tell us anything.... Ours 3 kids deserve better.
Very happy switching to this clinic. Staff are honest and friendly and the vet offers practical advice on the care of my animals.
After adopting our dog, and being new to the area, we took Cindy to Strathy Road Animal Clinic where we found out that she had heartworm. Dr. Wyszynski and the staff at the clinic have been great with Cindy and we have been very happy with her care. Dr. W. advised that he had not had any experience with heartworm, and consulted with other vets and assured us of the recommended treatment plan. He genuinely cares about animals and is very professional. Highly recommended.
Everyone was friendly and helpful. My dog is very anxious and shy. With covid, i couldn't go in with her but the staff was really helpful and understanding and treated her very well. I found the cost very reasonable as well and was pleasantly surprised with the bill. They also trimmed her nails. This was my first experience there and I am definitely going to keep going there!
Staff is great with pets. My dog is a rescue. He is big with a lot of complex issues. The staff at the Animal Clinic treat him gently and with great care.
