We rented a storage unit for about 5 months and its a great location, and clean. It seems expensive but when you price check around you will find it comparable. Staff is great to work with.

The security is horrid. If you must use this service avoid storing anything valuable. I guess they're the cheapest for a reason. Go anywhere else first. Just awful.

Update as of Sept 2017, I have now upgraded my previous rating of 1 star to 3 stars, after a lengthy phone conversation with StorageMart's new district manager in Sask., Della. I was impressed by her attitude and attention to what I had to say about our time at the Maxwell Crescent location Obviously, I would have appreciated an overall positive experience through all the years we used this facility, but she did what she could (including providing a monetary gesture that helped) and also with assurances that my detailed feedback would result in some much needed changes in regards to this storage location and personnel. ------------------------------------------------------------- Excerpt (WITH UPDATES IN BRACKETS) From My Previous Review, posted in August 2017: When we first used this facility there were some nice people working there including Vern and a couple of other guys before him. After Vern left and company changed ownership, things went steadily downhill. We have put up with some very annoying people in recent years including Janice Brooks (SHE IS NO LONGER AT THAT LOCATION) and their current "person on site", Hardeep. Both did nothing to make our time using their services or our recent move out , any easier. Janice was a sarcastic, not too bright individual that we cringed to have anything to do with, after she proved on a couple of occasions just how incompetent she was. (ALL PERSONNEL ISSUES TO BE ADDRESSED, ACCORDING TO DELLA, REGIONAL MANAGER) Prices here significantly went up year after year. Some years, there were two increases! Keep that in mind if you plan to store items for a long period of time. They also made a big deal about changing simple, basic things like a phone number, address etc. (WAS TOLD BY DELLA, REGIONAL MANAGER THAT THIS SHOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED AND IS NOT COMPANY POLICY, ESPECIALLY WHEN CUSTOMERS ARE DEALING WITH BEREAVEMENTS ETC) Sending out piles of paper to read through and fill out AGAIN and again, even on one occasion when I told them that a close family member had just died. Final "icing on the cake" being told we would get no money back on the two units we had just thoroughly cleaned and vacated, in spite of moving out about a week before the end of the month we had paid up to.(DID RECEIVE SOME MONETARY COMPENSATION AS A GOOD WILL GESTURE) Do your homework before making a commitment at ANY storage facility, including asking about what kind of increases to expect, pro rating final rental charges, updates for basic info., insurance options , security on site, access hours etc. And DO check out Google and other unbiased review sites for customer feedback. PS: In reply to the comment from StorageMart below, it was NO mistake about the two increases on BOTH units, during one calendar year. This happened at least 2-3 times, during the years we were using storage there. Other StorageMart customers have also mentioned this in reviews that I have read elsewhere so this is not an isolated incident or company error. For us, it was unexpected and definitely not appreciated. As far as increases being good for customers, that actually made me laugh! It may be good for your company to have your rates go up year after year but I can't see how that is GOOD for customers! We saw no improvements in the facility and certainly not with the customer service provided. Just the opposite in fact, in regard to the recent staff at that facility. An example of LACK of maintenance, there is a huge "pothole" (and I do mean huge!!! )when you first drive into the facility on Maxwell Crescent that could have easily been fixed, but has been left as it is, year after year. A risk to drivers arriving at night or with snow coverage, someone could easily do serious damage to their vehicle if they did not notice this "crater" in time. What kind of improvement or maintenance is that? (AGAIN, WAS TOLD BY THE NEW REGIONAL MANAGER THAT THIS SAFETY CONCERN WOULD NOW BE ADDRESSED )

Our experience was having someone trying to break into our unit and breaking our lock so we couldn't get in. It was hard to get someone out of hours to come and break lock off. Reasonable price for storage though.
