Historic bridge. This is a must visit place in Minneapolis. Great place to cycle or just take a stroll enjoying the stunning views of the Mississippi river and the Minneapolis skyline. Paid parking onsite is available. Sunsets here are beautiful. Watching July 4 fireworks from here is just spectacular.
This nearly 140-year-old bridge is a must-see. It’s the second-oldest bridge still standing on the Mississippi. Originally a railroad bridge, it now accommodates pedestrian and bicycle and bicycle traffic while providing striking views of the river and the Minneapolis skyline. the bridge is a bit more than a third of a mile in length. I’m told this is a great place to watch fireworks on the 4th of July.
This part of Minneapolis is lovely! The bridge arches over Mississippi River, and it is open to pedestrian and bikes. The areas around the bridge both east and west bank have several walking and biking paths for exploring. Many clean benches to sit on and have a quiet moment.
A beautiful and calm place to walk or ride a bike. Grab an ice cream or juice from the other side of the bridge and watch the sun set on the Mississippi river. Very peaceful!
The bridge itself gives inspiration, you can see the university and downtown MPLS at the same time breath taking On a hot day you can meet a ton of new people. The neighborhoods on both sides of the bridge are promising. You'll find a bunch of activities and good food. This is also a prime bridal party photo spot. I love this area!
Great place to see Minneapolis landscape, and walk from Guthrie theatre, Mill city museum, cross the bridge and walk by riverside. This place is a must when visit Minneapolis. Sunset is the best time to take pictures.
Great place to walk and get a panoramic view of downtown Minneapolis. Seeing the falls, Minneapolis' industrial past, and the canal lock are worth the walk. Besides describing history of the area are very interesting as well.
This beautiful bridge is especially cool to see at night. The history and the craftsmanship is quite interesting. They have lights to illuminate the arches and listening and watching the water flows below and out of the plants is really an icon of this city’s history I would recommend everyone to ride a bike or a walk across the bridge and take in the city sites
Really nice area for a walk and sites. Some old mill ruins and the dam are nice additions to the tour of the area. Several trails to extend the walk.
Stone Arch Bridge is just a great place to get out, and take a walk ,while in the Twin Cities. Get some fresh air, meet some great people, and check out fantastic scenery. I highly recommend it any time of year.
