A really Nice place to sit. The fish and chips, well being where this is located and right on the waterfront My expectations were really good, until I had dig threw the batter to get the fish so my First experience on VI fish and chips where shot down. But a really Nice place to sit. I suppose. Maybe my next time around I'll have to definitely eat something else. I stopped here while Back.
The day we went, the patio and inside was plagued with wasps. Owners should not subject servers , let alone guests to this. You can buy wasp bags to hang outside and trap them. The waitress was sweet, the food came quickly. We did a quick dine in, where it was sweltering hot, then took a doggie bag. The reason we chose this cafe was for its gluten free options and French fries were on the menu as being gluten free, but to be gluten free, they must be cooked in a gluten free environment, thus, it’s own fryer, to avoid cross contamination. Thus do not put them on the menu advertised as gluten free. The gluten free noodle dish was spicy but yummy, my friend said. My crispy prawn wrap with veggies was delicious. A prominent sign on the cafe as you approach it by car would be helpful.
Incredibly gorgeous views from the dining room. I'd imagine even more fantastic in the Spring & Summer from three outdoor patio overlooking the ocean inlet. The food & service were amazing & I'd definitely return! A hidden gem!Food: 5/5
When strolling through the Fisherman's Wharf we discovered this lovely Cafe across from the park. Delicious drinks, kind service and lovely ambiance.
Really sweet staff who have excellent recommendations! The food was delicious!!!! Sea cider on tap???? Who could ask for more? The view was lovely as well :
Delicious food great spot.. really enjoyed the place!! we will be back!!!
I CANNOT say enough amazing things about this restaurant. We are always treated with such respect and as we are family. The food is beyond expectations and so tasty! We love the patio in the summer and it’s such a beautiful interior they’ve made an all around great ambiance and experience. I personally go every week and I’ve never experienced better service and food!!! We love the stickleback!
Personal service from Sue. All the servers were nice and service was excellent. It was hard to choose the menu had so many delicious sounding choices. We had a huge salad and flat bread pizza. Both were excellent. Big enough to share. Under 60$ with a couple of pints. With a bonus nice view.
Every flight and dish was delicious, but I wish the patio was open when we went. I especially appreciated the tacos and chowder with garlic bannock, as well as the cider selection! Staff were amazing in answering my endless questions about the local craft options. The view of the anchor moorings from the dining room was neat, and after a short walk to the shore, saw otters and pacific harbour seals.
Excellent location. Such a pleasing view and great staff. Tastebuds could enjoy less than the eyes can. Menu & Prices are on the website. Slightly on the pricey side but convincing for the location .
