I will say that almost every conversation I've had with these guys has been awesome up until today. Being new to the area , I work and pay into the system but was treated bye this one lady over the weekend on Sunday Feb 5 at about 8:50ish am with the upmost disrespect and unprofessionalism I have ever encountered from someone who is literally in the buisness of helping people, her responses to my answers felt like she was insinuating things that should not have been insinuated instead of being empathetic and understanding her tone said it all along with her snarky responses to go with her questions. And when I called her out about the tone of her voice and stood my ground she became very confrontational and passive aggressive. And when I called back to report that , even the nice young lady couldn't believe some of snoody remarks that ibreceived. The look of my friends face when talking to her was utter disbelief. She was on speaker when I got in my friends car . I get this job test you every day, and a lot of people abuse the system but that doesn't give you the right to have already made assumption that I'm like every person out here because I'm not. It's a shame because everyone I have ever delt with up until that one point in time from dss was fantastic and was really passionate about there jobs. But it takes one person and one bad experience to tarnish a agencies reputation and integrity.

Virtually impossible to get any help. you can call day and night. multiple times a day and they still wouldn’t help. Even with a simple task such as sending paperwork. Do better !!

The other day I was at the Social Services Office in Bath, dropping off some documents to be copied. I was helped fairly promptly, but noticed 6 women in the office doing nothing but sitting around while the woman at the window worked. I was not happy with the way our tax dollars are being spent on all these women sitting on their rears. This is the same SS that allows people to get all these unneeded benefits to people that don't deserve them, people that consistently cheat the system and take from it, while the rest of us pay into it to allow these same people to sit on their rears.

It seems almost impossible to properly communicate with the DSS office. I can't get a call back or they don't transfer me to a worker half the time. Very un reliable.

I called Adult Protective Services because my friend, who has cognitive impairment and visual disturbances, was put into an apartment by his family and he can't care for himself. He reported being hungry, not having money, taking the wrong meds, eating things that aren't food, etc. APS assured me they'd get him services, but after getting him food stamps, closed his case after his family told them that they were caring for him, which they weren't fully able to do, for whatever reason. He desperately needs a caregiver or a group home setting.

CPS caseworker lie in paperwork. Judge Roche let's them get away with it. I have EVIDENCE that The department falsified documents...

There's a laundry list of what's wrong with this place. Don't waste your time! Go to a different Department of Social Services. This one is a joke!

The man i just talked to today so so very rude to me on the phone. If your going to work in the dss building please be a little nicer on the phone or get a new job

They are totally worthless. They say they are there to help people in need but do everything possible to keep people from getting help they need
