Carey's Brew House

Worth the visit. Yes, lots of good beer. But, much more interesting is the food. Pretty extensive menu with innovative combinations. I was impressed by an acorn squash with beasts, pumpkin, cheeve cheese and balsamic vinegar. Then hung out in the back room and shot pool on new tables with good cues. Still a new place. Not crowded yet. We'll go back.

Bacon Cheeseburger was very nice, though I would recommend a switch from the cheese sauce to sliced Colby jack or pepper jack. The sauce is good, but it makes the burger a challenge to handle. Now, the burger was good enough that I was COMMITTED to meeting that challenge, but easier would be good. The waitress (Christine) was personable and pleasant, except for acceding to my fellow diner's request that she bring mayonnaise to our table (who eats that vile substance anyway??). Even though I am an introverted curmudgeon by nature, her incessant cheer was the difference between 4 stars and the 5 that you got.

Great food, great service and great beer selection. Overall, it had an eclectic feeling with different types of seating and a little bit of everything on the menu. Dietary options were also clearly market on the menu. Our kids enjoyed the family area which had kids play tables and chalk boards. It was nice to let them play a bit without feeling like were disturbing anyone. They also had some large group seating available up front. We'll definitely be going back!

Friendliest waitresses I've ever had! When they told us their names, they genuinely were introducing themselves like they were making friends. The food was great, too. Prompt and helpful with the menu. Over forty beers on tap. I recommend.

Service was slow and not at all attentive to their guests. We ordered the bison sliders for an appetizer before we placed any other order, yet they came out with the rest of our food. And the bison was over cooked, dry, and crumbling apart. The other food was alright. And then the bill comes and the only options for tips are no top, 15% or other options above that. Not impressed. I don't recommend it.
