I moved into a renovated Sterling Karamar unit 9 months ago and have regretted it ever since. There have been issues since day one. It took them months to arrange a parking space, windows are still missing screens, the floors were not refinished tiles just stick to your feet when you walk the pipes were not installed properly literally fell off the wall and for months I've had no cold water. I have made several maintenance requests but nothing has happened. I really got duped as I'm paying high rent for a renovated "luxury" unit.
Horrible management and completely unreliable, left our unit with no hot water for 32 days and did not bother to do anything for it. Do not recommend, terrible tenant experience. Especially with the units in Stcatharines at 137 church street. Our unit in the winter had no hot water to shower in. Right now a whole month later only the sink in the kitchen has hot water. The superintendent actually tried to tell me that it’s normal to have problems like this . Hot water is still an issue
I moved into a renovated sterling karamar unit at 66 spadina Rd in July of 2022. Dont do it. Since moving into the unit, there have been non-stop repairs to the unit as the building management company didn't even make sure the renovations were done appropriately prior to me signing a lease. In August, the apartment flooded because the construction workers hired by sterling karamar didn't complete their job appropriately ahead of heavy rain. In the winter of 2022, I sent multiple service requests to the building about having no heat in my apartment and was told that they couldn't turn up the heat because the units up above would complain. Same winter, same heat issue, turns out they didn't seal any of my windows, I had to buy a thermometer to send pictures to show them that my apartment was at 9 degrees celsius during the day. The flooded messed up my floors, they fixed them once but the guys who they had come in sprayed sawdust all around my apartment. Now, today, they've just entered my apartment with a notice that they may need to fix a leak, smashed two holes in my wall and left with no ETA of when they will fix my unit. On top of all these and more issues I've had to deal with this year, they thought their delepadated apartments and I'll performed restorations have been worthy of an above board rental increase. This management company is trash, if you see this sterling karamar star outside of a building, just run.
This management company is horrendous. We signed a lease, paid our first and last month's rent, got tenancy insurance, just for them to cancel our lease. We still have not been paid back our deposit, and they have not even attempted to reach out. This company has no business ethics and does not care about anything but money. Avoid them.
Worst property managers I have ever dealt with. Ignoring my emails and phone calls for over 2 months now and almost impossible to get a hold of anyone at their head office. I would not recommend them to anyone. @Amanda & Amira if you can get back to me that would be great? Thank you!
management refuses to deal with the unprofessional behaviour of the current superintendent, refuses to deal with the mould issue in my apartment in a timely manner which has made my asthma worse, refuses to have the smoking that occurs in front of my unit to stop... which makes my asthma a living hell. I can't afford to move but my health is also declining from living here.
Unprofessional! E-mails go ignored and they increased the rent from $1,597 to $2,097 for a one bedroom in a matter of months on a rotting old building. RIP OFF!!! It's not good to be greedy.
Terrible management. I am currently living in 1065 Eglinton Ave. West. As of now, we don't have heat because boiler is down and the part that they need to fix is not coming till next week. We didn't have heat for a few days now. If you need something to be fixed it takes at least a month. Cleaning is not a priority anymore. It has gotten worst. One time they didn't clean our building for 3 weeks!!! It is so disappointing. Lack of communication from property manager. Never responded.
I’ve been a tenant in the 323 Rusholme road building for over 14 years and am very happy with things. Very friendly people and nice workers. Office people are very to me always they helped me especially Adriana and Sandra. Jason is also very good worker polite and friendly The only problem with my downstairs niebour who smoke marijuana for 3 years I am sick and tired of him. Before him we had no issues with the other tenant.
