Said they would come to my house and fix well pump issue.. they told me they would have it fixed that day. Got pump stuck in well, tried to tell me it was a 4" sleeve.. (it's a 5" sleeve) after getting pump stuck they decided to check out wires.. found bad wire..fixed that and left saying they had no way of getting pump free.. this was on a friday.. had to wait until Monday to have another company yank a good pump out and replace it( got damaged pulling out).. then Stavens sends me a bill for $95.00.. Good luck !!! I had to pay $2,200 to have another company fix what you screwed up !.. I have heard good things about them, but my experience wasn't good.

On call service tech was very helpful and walked me thru the steps on how to restore my water after a power outage.

We strongly recommend anyone working with Stavens GET A WRITTEN ESTIMATE FROM THE OWNER outlining exactly what they will do and at what cost, and what timeframe. They went badly overbudget for us, and didn't do several of the things they said they would do verbally over the phone for the original verbally quoted price. Because those items didn't get done, we're now repairing damage at our own cost. Don't believe the guy at the office - talk to the owner ONLY and then get it all in writing. They didn't arrive on the days they said they would - they had us do their prep work that we had no idea how to do claiming that us doing it would allow them to start the job the next day. They then didn't arrive for several days. We took off work time to do this work. Their employees are great, though. They're friendly and passionate about well water. And the excavator they subcontracted to clean up the yard did a fantastic job.

Very nice people to deal with. They helped us find the best solution to our problem and only charged for actual work done. They are very fair and do a great job.

Be careful doing business with Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Drain Service . Sunday morning 03/01/2015, I got up to no water in the house. The first thing I checked was the circuit breaker for the pump and power to the pressure switch (Like Momma said check the fuse first. Is the pump coming on?). The pressure gauge read 2 ½, of course no water came out of the pipe when I turned it on. I called a few plumbers in the area and they usually charged around $100 for a diagnostic fee….. however availability wasn’t working out so I ended up calling Roto-Rooter . They told me the diagnostic charge would be $150. Once he finished his 5 minute, job cutting bolts from well cap, Roto-Rooter charged me $316. He said $150 dollars is for the diagnostic charge and the rest for his five minute job (which he cut off my well bolts). I signed the agreement for his arrival at the job. He told me that I have a bad bump. He gave me an estimate of $5000 to $7000 and he didn’t replace the cut off bolts of the well cap. I feel I should not pay more than the diagnostic charge. I feel I was misled and should not have had to pay more than 150 dollars and been compensated for the bolts. The next day I called the Steven Brothers local plumbing company. They did the entire job for $1658. They replaced the pump and various other parts. The difference between the repair the Steven Brothers made and Roto- Rooter’s estimate is $4000. Steven brothers are the best!!! I would never recommend this crooked company(Roto-Rooter) to anyone. The national name means nothing, and they have proven they don't care at all about customer satisfaction, quality, or apparently honest work.
