The Canada Revenue Agency was scary as they were demanding a large sum of money on a rental property sale. Our lawyer recommended that we consult with a tax expert who also offered bookkeeping for the construction industry. They recommended Stasuik & Associates, an Ottawa based accounting firm even though we lived in Oshawa. After explaining our tax problems to Christopher Stasuik, he and his team put together a plan to deal with the CRA demand. What I liked about the plan was it included communications with the law firm and myself. They were well organized and we got regular updates from Chris. It sure helped reduce my stress throughout the whole project. In the end, Chris and his staff were able to prove our tax position to the CRA and they cancelled the demand for the money. Stasuik's fees were fair and reasonable. Thanks for helping with CRA and we will be using Stasuik & Associates for our future rental properties.
