Ordered the bbq pork fried rice. It's usually pretty good but tonight it is terrible. It's not fried at all, just plain white rice with scant few pieces of bbq pork and zero flavour. And the place is infested with flies. They land on you and your food and table constantly. They're also all over you at the slot machines and table games. This place has gone way down in service and quality.
My boyfriend and I always enjoy our time at Starlight casino. They have a great selection of slot machines, and they have many Baccarat tables, including the higher bet VIP room. On weekends there are more people, because they have live music show in the bar which I personally enjoyed very much, gamble with the live music is a great combination Dealers are friendly, won’t look too annoyed when you’re not familiar with the rules. I prefer Starlight better than Parq or Grand Villa.
Nice smaller casino with slots and table games. Friendly staff and clean washrooms. Shops and restaurants nearby. Quiet but nice.
Nice Casino. I haven't had any luck there yet, but I've seen some pretty big wins . For now I'm only giving a three star rating. But like any other casinos into it's only one spin away from a five star maybe even a six star rating. Haven't tried the buffet yet but heard It was really good. The staff has been very polite to me and it's clean and tidy. Good luck!
As soon as you enter the facade you"ll feel the specialness of the place.. and how much more when you get inside the actual casino floor area.. it's so amazing and wonderful play to spend your time. And of course the mouth-watering food in the Buffet! So it's one of the awesome place here in BC! :
$29 weekend buffet with roast and fried chicken as the main staples. Not a great deal if you can’t eat much as there’s really not much of a selection. More table games than Hardrock and better drinks as the coffee lady can get you beer too! Washroom is a mess tho. 3 diamonds has 15% discount on food; not much but it is a great gesture for sure. Way better than hard rock hence the extra star as the other places don’t even offer it or took it away.
Great for fun once in a while if you know how to limit yourself! Great food, friendly atmosphere!
Like any other casino, go there with low expectations and you will have a great time. Unlike the US, you're ID is checked at the entrance and not at the table. As usual my wife and I played at the blackjack tables. The low limit tale was always full so we went to the free bet and double deck tables. Dealers were experienced and professional. Late un the day after the tables, went to Noodle To Go and got fried rice. Smaller portion than I'm used to but good taste.
We went there on a weekday and it was pretty quiet.. machines have sound volumes now so not much sounds from people playing. Only a few tables are open with not much exciting actions. Cleaning crew is around wiping everything down so feels safe.
Went there on new years eve. The ambience was great and since there was no fireworks in vancouver area this year, this place seemed to be ok to hang out for some casino and drinks. Played roulette, and enjoyed it. Only thing is the machines are slow as compared to some of the big casino capitals in the world. I've been to vegas and the machines are fast enough. Hope I'll visit again.
