I have tried a good number of Indian restaurants in my last two years here in Detroit metropolitan area, so far I have found Star of India as one the best and definitely among my top choice restaurant. Delicious food. Courteous staff. Would recommend it.
Great place, nice service and delicious food, spicy and taste, we ordered Chicken tikka Malassa and I chose a little spicy omg I could finish it was too much but I really enjoyed all the flavors in my mouth. My husband chose chicken with rice I don’t remember the name but I tried and it was excellent.
Ordered through Grubhub and it was amazing! Everything arrived hot. Highly recommend an order of the veggie samosa and the butter chicken! I ordered medium + heat and it was SPICY how I like it and full of flavor. Will definitely be ordering again!

This is one of our favorite spots in metro Detroit! Everything is so good!! Our food is always served timely and hot - dine in or carry out. And they have some unique dishes on their menu.
Has been a few years since We have been here, and we did not recognize anyone ,but the food was the same as We remember , just great samosas , kofta balls, naan sag something very delicious would highly recommend if you like Indian food
A bit dingy inside, but excellent food.
