Great, store, good selection of office products and also lots of computers and electronics stuff. I was surprised to see all those shiny MacBooks in there. Staff was helpful, they understood what I need and promptly directed to the aisle.
I can say that my experience there today was excellent. Lots of parking in behind. Floor staff helped me find just what I was looking for. I have not been in this store for years, so I had a poke around. Lots to see here. Lots of great office type thingys. Checking stuff out, a friendly floor staff asked me if I needed any help. I wanted a new screen protector for my phone. He said they did not have exactly what I needed, but DID offer an alternative. They offer a liquid glass service that is painted directly on to the phone. Took about 15 minutes and this fella Michael did an awesome job. Thanks dude!
I often visit the store . Bought a hp printer there. They provide most of office supplies from computer tables to pens, backpacks to coffee machines.etc...
Placed a 24hr photo order around the holidays and I should have perhaps ordered earlier but it took longer and I missed my Christmas gift window. When I went to pick it up after the holidays, the staff couldn't find my order so they reprinted on the spot. They were kind and I appreciated that. Perhaps near Christmas they should stop the feature online for same day printing if it's not feasible, so as to not disappoint.
Munawar was very nice when welcoming. He introduced me to Mohammad who went above and beyond when helping me! Mohammad helped me create several posters and went through every detail of the print and made sure my storefront poster looks amazing!! Five stars and more if I could.
Don't bother. The main reason I no longer go here is that I feel bad for the staff, who are massively underpaid and over-worked, just so the staples corporation can make their billions of $. The workers here deserve much better. The business model means that the company lets people down all the time and the poor staff are left to deal with the anger of the patron. Avoid this place.
They have helpful and friendly staff. This is a low star review because of my experience with their scan-to-email self serving machine. This time-based machine is pretty much a scam. I only needed to scan 1 page and save it to my email. How difficult should this be? There are no clear instructions, and it would take forever to sign in on my accounts to send the file. I gave up after 3 minutes because by the time I sign in, scan, and send this 1 page, they would've charged me for 10 minutes. And I am tech-savvy. Of course, eventhough I did not scan or send anything to myself, I still was charged for the time!
Customer service was absolutely horrible. On Tuesday February 21st around 5:45 a lady who appeared to be a manager literally waged her finger in my face and told me that “if it’s not on the shelf we don’t have it”. A valid response, however she never even asked what I was looking for, and her delivery and finger wagging was the most condescending experience of my adult life. She was also lying, I found them around the corner after a bit more looking. She had been standing behind us talking to another employee who appeared to be another higher up and there was no one else around to help us. My boyfriend was having trouble looking for a specific pen, the cabinet beneath the display was sitting open and I looked inside. Her response was super offside and left a bad taste in my mouth. If you don’t want customers looking in a OPEN cabinet where other extra pens are kept maybe she could’ve offered some help.
Unreliable for shipping / pick-up. Anecdotal evidence, but… an employee told me that my package had been sent back early, because their team at this location at least interprets “five business days” as “looking at a calendar and picking roughly five days”. Not even weekdays. Calendar days. And estimated, at that. So by the time I came to pick it up after the weekend and a public holiday, the parcel was long gone. Thankfully, in my case, the shipper stepped in and caught it at the Ottawa airport – so I was able to drive down and pick it up before it was flown back. But all because Staples couldn’t be bothered to actually count to five. Use at your own expense.
One of the worst customer service experiences. Would NOT recommend. Ordered photos one month ahead of when I needed them- giving lots of time for arrival during the busy holiday season- did in store pick up. Waited three weeks for notification of arrival of my photos. Finally went in to see if they had arrived. The sales associate was extremely rude and short with me saying that I should t have come in person and I would be notified when they had arrived. Got her to check any way and half my order had arrived. Was guaranteed the rest would arrive by a certain day so I’ve now waited almost a full month for my order and I would be notified. I wasn’t notified on the day, waited another full day - still no notification. I tried calling before physically going to the store - no answer over the course of a full business day called several times . This includes placing calls to both the print and marketing centre as well as their customer service. No notifications, rude sales associates that don’t seem to care about their customers needs and overall an extremely negative experience.
