Stanhope & Company, an innovative hair salon established in January 2000, is located just steps off the shopping mecca, Spring Garden Road at 1455 Brenton Street in downtown Halifax.

Master stylist, Derek Stanhope, owner/operator, was first trained as a free-hand hair cutter by Dante Di Mattia, Halifax’s first celebrity stylist. Throughout the years, Derek has continued his training with world-renowned professionals such as Vidal Sasson and Toni and Guy, to name a few and has since become a celebrity stylist in his own right.

Derek has created an environment where stylists can grow to become true artists unto themselves.

Stanhope & Company offers a lot of personality in a relaxed, comfortable environment where stylist and client can strive for perfection without pretension.
