A Catholic School is located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. It’s a Catholic educational institution providing schooling in high school levels, with a focus on academic excellence and moral values within the Catholic tradition.nnSt. Joseph’s Catholic School offers a curriculum that integrates Catholic teachings with standard academic subjects, aiming to nurture students both intellectually and spiritually. It also provides extracurricular activities, religious services, and community outreach programs to enrich students’ overall educational experience.
I was an online student and feel compelled to share my concerns about Mrs. Talia Koziak’s teaching methods and interactions with students. Throughout the course, there were instances where her behaviour was unprofessional and deeply concerning. For example, she was airing out another student’s business in front of the whole class, and that created an uncomfortable atmosphere for everyone involved. Her approach to enforcing rules, such as the “mandatory” camera policy, often came across as unnecessarily strict and lacked empathy one might expect in an online learning setting. She threatened students that she would talk to admin about the class not turning on their cameras. When a student asked to turn their camera off, her refusal accompanied by a smile, felt dismissive and unsupportive of students’ varying needs and circumstances. I believe that every student deserves a respectful and supportive educational experience, and I hope that by sharing my observations, the school will take the proper steps to ensure this environment is maintained for all students.
This school has gone down hill drugs is all over and there are even kids bringing guns to the school along with gangs next school year its going to be worse as kids from other questionable schools will be coming in the principal has basically ruined floor time which gives no time for gcl students to do homework also there are some really nice teachers but the bad ones make the school intolerable glad i moved
Rude Teachers. Leroy stang, He can be pretty nice to some students but most of the time hes rude and hes been rude to me and has no manners at all. but i guess it doesnt matter cause hes a teacher right? I politely asked for help and during the time i was explaining what i need help with he just seems unfazed and he shut me off by sayjng “why are you here?” in a very rude and loud tone embarrassing me infront of everyone even tho i didnt do anything wrong. I politely repeated myself again that I need his help with stuff that he can only help me with but then again I got a rude response “dont just come up here”. I let that slide, but he would also treat me and some students in rude way. Like when were walking in hallway even tho hes the one in the way he flips off and when hes handing thungs he throws it like your his slave and he does whatever he wants and he has a lot more problematic stuff. Literally go ask the other students as ive heard they also made comments about him but people are afraid to speak up because no teachers will care bcs hes a teacher
I attended this school between the years 2009-2012 with upgrading in 2013. Some of the best years of my life were spent here.nnThe building itself is large and majestic, and there are no shortages of comfortable seating areas and computer space available.nnThe staff, teachers, and program instructors are friendly, helpful, and experienced, and the self-directed learning program really helps you learn how to deal with project deadlines that aren't unlike what you'd encounter in the working world.nnThe various trade, art, and sports programs cover a wide range of professions and have been critical in shaping the careers of myself and the many friends I made there.nnWhat's truly wonderful though, is the support that the school offers to students with various physical and psychological disabilities. I never would've done nearly as well in an academic setting without it.nnWhether you live in or outside of downtown, whether your family has been here for centuries or for months, you really can't do better than if your children attend St. Joseph High School.
