Do not ever consider sending your child to this school. They will learn to resent you for it. Course selections are never a priority and therefore are rarely in your interest. The vice principal Heather Coffin whom is responsible for course selections decides whether you can take the class or not. Even if you meet the prerequisite if she does not like you as a person she will deny your request to sign up for the course which is just a clear sign of unprofessionalism. But if you are a Caucasian female whom is liked by her she will grant you the classes you desire despite your grades. If you ever decide you truly want the class because you need it she will have you bring your parents in and “discuss” about it. She will proceed to try to convince your parents to not let you take the class. Your opinion only matters if you are liked by her and I find it unjust how she can control you courses based on if she likes you. This is a clear sign of unprofessionalism. This school is in need of a real student counsellor. A person who’s job is to help you choose the classes you need for university. Not a biased vice principal who will give you classes based off your relationship with her.
Mme Sarah Peeling’s class was very challenging, but not in a constructive way. Almost everybody in the class struggled to pass, which suggests that her teaching methods were ineffective. Her explanations were often unclear, and she seemed unprepared to help students understand the material. Additionally, her attempts at humor fell flat and often distracted from learning rather than enhancing it. Overall, the class felt unprofessional, and I do not believe she has the capability to teach effectively
Out of all the schools I went to, École Michaëlle-Jean was the only place who really provided support for my autism. They are understanding, all the staff are easy to talk to and kind, and they are not afraid to make arrangements to help students who struggle to move forwards. I did get a bit of tough love at times, but the things I've learnt not only academically but also of myself as a person is more than anything I learnt prior, and I have to thank them for that. Contrary to other schools I went to, I came out of this one graduated and generally content with myself.
I love this school! But.. it lowkey needs renovation considering it’s a school from grade 7 to 12-
This school is led by a terrible vice principal. I have yet to see such an unprofessional vice principal that’s bipolar. Her attitude towards some or the students is questionable. For example, i’ve seen her mood whilst talking to a caucasian female she seems happy even some might say delightful. but should you ever see how he she acts to other students especially during course selections it raises suspicion. She’ll refuse you for a course which you really need. Should you write a email to her she’ll decide not respond and to only respond to the students whom are liked by her. She doesn’t take into consideration what you might need for your future and only allows you to take the class based on how SHE thinks you’ll do. I have never seen such a biased, bipolar, horrible, vice principal that doesn’t know how to do a simple job.
