We have always loved St Dave's. The wait staff is really fantastic and traditionally the food is exceptional. However, St Dave's has fallen victim to COVID and other issues recently. They admit they are having issues finding good, reliable people to work. As much as it pains me to say this, some of the quality/taste of food items have slipped a bit. However, it hasn't slipped enough that it isn't good. It's just not quite as good as it was. Before it was 10/10 and now it's 7/10 if that helps. St Dave's is still a good little eatery that is worth going to.
Stopped in here for lunch on route. I ordered the "big Bob" fish and chips, absolutely fantastic! I felt like I was back on the East coast again. The fish was perfectly flaky and not at all soggy, batter was crunchy and perfectly golden brown. The service was wonderful, all of the staff so friendly. We'll definitely stop in again the next time we are in the area!

First visit, Sunday brunch buffet late morning. Busy but were seated quickly. Buffet is reasonably priced and offers lots of options. Food quality was very good and all items were resupplied quickly. Server was gruff and brisk but not unfriendly. Would definitely recommend and will return.
I had heard about the all you can eat buffet there, on holidays and long weekends, but it was so much better than I ever imagined, all sorts of breakfast, bbq and dessert stuff, crazy variety, good service even though it was rammed. YOU MUST TRY this place. 2 seniors, 1 adult, buffet with coffees was around $43 without tip, well worth it.
Food was good but could have been warmer. Service was good as well. My only concern was the older lady looked like she was angry that we didn't have our bills even though we had been finished for a while. I'd go again.Food: 4/5
I love it at St. Dave’s! I have been going there for at least 15 years. The Scram Slam is my favourite. Enjoy the very friendly staff and homey atmosphere. I will always come back and bring friends!

Found this place as a "Port in a Storm" literally, only place in Lindsay with hydro and open! What a pleasure to in fact find friendly staff and great food in buffet format ready and waiting even though they were very close to closing and definitely past last seating!! Fabulous and thank you we will be back!
