St-Albert Cheese Factory Co-Op

Amazing place, amazing products, amazing staff, and the restaurant is very good quality. The weekend tends to be very busy so if you can go on a weekday is less crowded - they have of course cheese but so many other products like special jams, or jellies or speciality items and some bakery things too! It's great to get whatever you want, pay and then go have lunch in the pretty big restaurant area. Summertime is nice also as you can take it cream you get from inside and go outside and enjoy the summer day. By far the best place to get cheese and cheese products from anywhere I know! Especially with the new building and facilities (due to a fire few years ago) you won't be disappointed with the small drive from the city (Ottawa)

I absolutely love the service here. In the summer months, it is busy because it's a great tourist attraction but the food is great. It isn't as busy in the winter months, I find it's more locals that visit rather than tourists. I also like that they have vegetarian options for their poutine sauce which honestly in my opinion the vegetarian sauce is better than their regular sauce. The employees are always knowledgeable and pleasant however they like to speak French first but that seems to be the area of the province that they are in. Sometimes, especially during the summer months, the the English knowledge for the tourists isn't enough to not frustrate older anglophone tourists. Overall, my family and I love this place because the food is great, the service is great, and fresh cheese. Yum!

Nice place for a quick tour and good food. Slightly pricey but reasonable portions. Lots of milk based products (cheese, curd, etc) at the gift shop. Great tour to see how they make cheese. The restaurant is licensed and has local micro brewery beers available.

I have been going to St Albert since I was a kid for their cheese. We would drive up from our home in the Windsor Ontario area to visit my grand parents in St Isidore and this was our treat for the ride home. It was our family tradition. Well I've taken I'll and now 32 my grand parents have passed on I felt compelled to go there again, now with my wife. We specifically drove there from Windsor for cheese curds. We spend about 200$ and then went home. Best day trip of my life. Miss the old building however and it seems a little less small town, but it's still that same ol'cheese I love.

Amazing prices. Love coming here with my family. We make the trip out here and its always worth it . They even have a gluten free aisle and good options at the canteen.
