The basement here is so cool. I loved the spiral stair case as well as the lighting in this area. The lobster spinach artichoke dip was delicious with large chunks of lobster. We got so full that we could have probably just had that. But, we also had the surf and turf. Steak, scallops and ahi tuna. Delicious!

Without a doubt Square Bistro is one of my favorite restaurants in the Cleveland/greater Cleveland area. We’ve had one or two visits have been average but every other time has been fantastic. We usually go twice a month or so and I am always trying out new items on their seasonally changing menu. The atmosphere and decor are nice and I really like the new downstairs area. The staff always greets us with a smile and accommodates any needs we have. The weekly specials, date night and half price sushi night in particular, are great deals. At other restaurants, we sometimes find ourselves saying “we should have just gone to Square.”

I like their date night specials on Wednesday nights but the place is kind of small and crowded. Recently they opened up dining in the basement with a sushi bar so the us effectively three levels of dining here, but all small spaces. Menu changes pretty frequently, especially with the season because they try to get fresh food. I have heard some horrible things about the cleanliness of the kitchen from previous workers but I cannot confirm any of them and am not too concerned. However, I did see someone pick up silverware from floor and give it to a guest.

I come back here any time I am looking for a great meal that is something a little special. A little pricier than your typical chain restaurant, which is to be expected, but well worth the price. With delicious offerings whether you are looking for a sandwich or a locally sourced seasonal entree this spot really has something for everyone. A solid bar makes this a great spot for a dining experience.

Great food and really nice beer selection. Beers are always rotating with the season and availability. Sushi selection is really good. I would have given Square a full 5-star rating, but my only gripes are that there's a lot of echo which can make it loud, and they accept reservations and turn people away if they don't have a table reserved. If you plan to dine here, make sure you call ahead and reserve a table or go during lighter business hours. Lunch hours are usually fine. Service can be a bit sketchy, but it's usually okay. Family friendly.
