Nice little getaway. The walk out to Elk Point is fun simply because you can only get out there at certain times of the year. Plus it's pretty area with some nice high points to sit on and explore.

Great for hikes with the kids. Just remember that if you bike there, you'll need to bring a lock and leave your bike at the trailhead. Well-maintained trails then take you to the waterfront, and lead you around the island.

This park is beautiful. We were there when no one else was. It felt private and magical. There is also a little playground at the start of the trail.
