As a Canadian Military wife, We have a military family discount card that gives us access to many stores that support military families with discounts which we are extremely grateful for because it definitely helps our families so thank you. Unfortunately, every time I go to Sportcheck and try and use my military family ID I am denied and told they need the ID of the person in the military. Not one other store ever denies my ID Card. This is extremely frustrating! now I just wanna say most wives do the shopping for the children/family when it comes to clothing, I shouldn’t have to have my husband with me to prove I am a military family because my identification proves it quite clearly . I have no idea why they do not take my card it specifically says military family ID with my picture on it. I sure hope they change this, I believe I shop at sportCheck quite frequently, So can you please start accepting the family/wifes ID to make it easier for us also considering it is supposed to be a “military family” discount card. As for the staff they are very friendly and helpful.

Poor customer service, they do not stand behind the products they sell. First day with a $70 premium Yeti insulated water bottle which will only keep ice for 2-3 hours and they will not exchange it for another bottle. The salesman claimed it had no physical defect. It is obvious defective since condensation will appear fairly quick and the ice does not last long. I would buy a pair of socks from this store.
Didn't really find what I was looking for -kayak accessories, but hey, they can't stock everything. Lots to get you on the go with the basic kit though.
Bought some snowshoes during part of the boxing day sale. Josh went above and beyond to help us find exactly what we needed. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Will be back for sure!!

Simply dropping our skis off to be waxed on March 9. After much time wasted on deliberation and trying to contact a manager, the service person informs us they can only wax 1 of the 4 pairs because they are changing their seasonal focus to bikes. It is March 9!! The ski season is short enough but it does run significantly past March 9 at most hills. Would certainly never buy a wax card for the year if you can only get a couple waxes in. As I write this there is a blizzard on March 29.
Floor staff is very friendly and helpful but could be better educated on sales promotions. After browsing the sales rack and being told that there would be an additional 25% off of the sales items I selected I chose several more items and asked if all of the items were eligible.The young man confirmed they were eligible so I proceeded to the check out. When it came time to pay the girl at the cash register was adamant that none of the items were eligible and called the floor staff up to see what he had said. He confirmed he had said they were eligible and she made a bit of a scene about it not being eligible. There was a line up of people waiting to buy their items so I paid the bill and left the store. The girl working the cash register at 12:30 on Saturday Feb 2/19 was not very friendly or professional.
