Had the chance to eat dinner at Spezia House tonight. Ordered chicken biryani, chicken Karahi, plain naan, and raita. They offered to taste their chicken cheese pratha which was extraordinary. Biryani had right flavours, rice and chicken were well mixed, not like if they are prepared separately and mixed together. Chicken karahi was different than usual and it was chef’s special recipe. Amna is so friendly and her customer service is great. Priced reasonable. A must stop if you stay in Kamloops.
They are extremely stingy with their meat portions here, and if you're looking for exotic foods, their are many restaurants in Kamloops with much better, cheaper, and much larger portions. I ordered the 22$ Beef kebab platter, and the 10.50$ beef roll. for the Beef Kebab Platter, they gave a lot of rice but the kebabs measured a good 3 inches long and 1 inch in diameter, very small. The only item that had flavor was the kebabs, this dish IS NOT WORTH 22$ BEWARE. The beef roll was also extremely skinny and had a bland taste reminiscent to hospital food, not worth 10.50$. BEWARE OF THIS ESTABLISHMENT.
A special addition to cuisines of Kamloops food life. Authentic Pakistani/South Asian dishes with vegetarian options available The flavours and quality are to the fullest and nothing is compromised. The channay beans were well done and not hard as found in some restaurants. The appetizers are totally unique compared to other South Asian restaurants in Kamloops The Chicken Biryani is a must try and being from Surrey, BC, I can assure you it’s better than what many halal restaurants offer there The best part is the prices are best and most fair for a South Asian restaurant here in Kamloops A must try for locals and those passing by Kamloops *Note* Pics taken of takeout food at home in my own bowls
The Biriani is simply the BEST in TOWN! The Cheesy Garlic fries are simply a perfect balance between cheese and Garlic. The taste is fresh and makes you want more! If you want to give your pallet a treat, this is the place to be in Kamloops. The service is amazing and very friendly!
So excited to have a Pakistani-Indian restaurant in Kamloops. Biryani was delicious, chicken wrap was well made and flavourful - would've loved it to be a bit bigger but I think the size of the paratha limits filling it more, fries and lassie were also very delicious. Everything was fresh when we came to pick up. Customer service was fantastic, the employees are simply kind people. Looking forward to trying out more of their dishes! Definitely would recommend.
The chicken biryani teleported me home! This was the first time I've had biryani this good since leaving my country. Mango lassi was spot on. The people running the place are extremely sweet. I definitely cannot wait to try the rest of their menu. Will be back very soon!! Picture of takeout
Over priced and delay in getting the food. We had 4 foot long beef and chicken wraps. Less meat and more bread. Okay teast. The place had the one year anniversary decorations but we were not given any special discounts even after asking.
Located inside a food court for a school, easy to miss. The building food court was dated. Kamloops was a stop on our road trip to Kelowna. Everyone was craving Pakistani/Indian food and grateful to find a halal food place! We visited based on the reviews and were looking forward to the nihari especially from others' reviews. We ordered the kebab roll, mango Lassi, mutton karahi, 2 chicken biryanis and butter chicken. The kebab roll was the kind wrapped in a paratha and was good. We got 2 biryanis, one was piping hot and tasted great. The second was cold and didn't taste fresh. If you order Biryani make sure you get a fresh one. We had asked for raita but it was missed, but didn't think anything of it as the Biryani was good without it. The butter chicken was a bit sweet which isn't my preference but a friend had it and said "it grew on me". The mutton karahi was good, meat was tender and flavours really good. Mango Lassi was good as well. The nihari was a complete miss. The colour and flavour wasnt quite right. I've had nihari many different places and know different regions may make it differently. I tried to give it a chance but the meat was very dry and hard to break. Felt like it was mixed in with the nihari masala and not cooked together. It was good to get some halal meat but the nihari needs some work. The owners were really nice and I wish them well.
We visited based on recommendations. The food is excellent quality. Portions sizes are quite large. Trust their recommendations - I was really pleased with the chicken biryani. The Mango lassi was the perfect match for the spice level.
Me and my friends We went to Kamloops for a short trip from Vancouver and we were looking for a halal restaurant in Kamloops. Luckily we found this hidden gem. We ordered their top famous Chicken biriani, Beef Karahi, Butter chicken & Mango lassi. I would highly recommend to try out their Chicken biriani, Mango lassi and beef karahi!! It was Delicious and top notch 100/100. There was Amna who served us and she greeted us nicely. With a sweet smile she took our orders. Must visit this place
