Sparrow Coffee in Saskatoon is a wonderful java stop downtown. It's a well lit open space that has a modern flair that still maintains its homey feeling. Their service, too, was exceptional. The drink offerings are wonderful and the food was marvelous. It's clear they take the time to ensure that all of their menu items are top notch. I didn't find a lot of decent spots for brunch or coffee downtown in Saskatoon. So finding Sparrow was a real blessing. 5 x
We were visiting from Regina, and a lot of people have suggested Sparrow Coffee! I ordered a latte with oat milk, and I loved it! The oat milk is nice and silky; the espresso hits the spot as well. I love the atmosphere! The plants and the books make the space cute & cozy! The staff are friendly, and we got our order quickly! We will be visiting again the next time we visit Saskatoon. :
I tried this restaurant for the first time recently. A bit higher prices than some cafes, but worth it. Lovely drink, but the sandwich roasted turkey farmhouse was the best sandwich I've probably ever had. The flavors were near perfect. The inside of the bread was toasted perfectly to keep its integrity with the sauces. The creamy buttermilk sauce and tangy cranberry compliment and contrast just right and the load of vegetables, cheese and turkey fresh, not lunch meat are delicious with wonderfully consistencies in every bite. Will definitely be back.
This is a fabulous little cafe. Wonderfully inviting decor and excellent natural light from the large windows. The lattes we enjoyed were fantastic and beautifully crafted. We ordered some muffins to go with and they were moist and delicious. All covid protocols are being followed and they kindly ask you to limit your stay to 1hr. It's no wonder as it was quite steady with traffic the entire time we were there.
I asked Google what was the best coffee near me ~ and Sparrow was suggested. Google did not disappoint! If I lived in Saskatoon, I would visit everyday. The staff are friendly, the decor is charming, and the latte was perfect.
Great spot for an afternoon coffee or something sweet! I tried their cheesecake and I have to say it was huge and absolutely delicious. The space is beautiful and modern. I didn’t give 5 stars because the handful of times I have been there the staff have come across unfriendly / unhappy.
Visited this coffee shop for the first time. We had breakfast and I think it's ok. But their lattes were amazing! And the baked sweet treats were yummy as well. The atmosphere was perfect even tho it was full. We'll be back for sure.Food: 4/5
This place gets SUCH good reviews which probably what made it feel like an even bigger bummer that I had such a bad experience. I went there for the first time today. I told the guy at the till it was my first time and he kind of shrugged. No welcome... nothing. I'm not entitled to that, but I just thought it might be good for staff to think about being welcoming to customers. I worked in a cafe for 15 years and always took pride in being kind. I ordered a tea and scone. The scone was decent. The tea $4 came out in a little pot. Cute, small but I could get a water refill I'm sure. I tipped 20%. When I sat down to login to try and work a bit on my laptop I couldn't get the internet to connect. I tried the password many times. An error kept popping up saying it could not connect. I tried the password in front of staff at the counter, they confirmed I put it in correctly. It would not connect. I asked if anyone else was having trouble and they shrugged. No problem solving. They made it clear it wasn't their problem. I told them I needed to get my tea to go then because if I couldn't sit and work, I couldn't stay. I explained to them that I am new to the city and was curious if they could help me find another place with wifi to sit and work. They told me to try City Perks. When they transferred my tea into a go cup I got maybe 4-5oz. See picture - tea was still a few cm from top. When I got in the car, I looked up City Perks and surprise surprise it's owned by the same people as Sparrow. That was kind of weird they would only suggest another place that was affiliated with them? So I would spend more money at their cafe after being treated like that? Nobody owes me free Wifi. Nobody owes me kindness or problem solving. But....if you want to go somewhere and be treated kindly and helped, consider somewhere other than Sparrow. Or at least hope that my experience was a one-off. I ended up at Broadway roasters. I was met with a warm welcome, and more generous amounts of product at a better price. The tea was large, high quality, and he staff member even offered to put honey in it for me. He was reassuring that the internet would be working and that he would help me if I needed. My computer connected right away so it wasn't my computer causing the issue at Sparrow It was such a relief to find a nice sunny spot with kindness after my experience at Sparrow.
First visit! Somehow Interior is chic and clean. Service was friendly. I had a brown sugar latte with almond milk very good and a ginger snap cookie sandwich with lemon cream cheese frosting amazing!
Sparrow Coffee is undoubtedly one of the best places in Saskatoon for a great cup of coffee and some amazing cakes always ready to accompany it! The apple cake in picture was mildly sweet and freshly baked! Their vanilla torte, macaroons are also amazing! Highly recommend this place :
