"Au cours de sa tournée nord-américaine, la Superstar grecque Mihalis Hatzigiannis a découvert Melina Mammas, une jeune chanteuse grecque canadienne, fille de Lawrence Mammas, et a été invitée à dîner à La Belle & La Boeuf où il a été tellement impressionné par le groupe qu’il a proposé un partenariat pour apporter une cuisine authentique grecque Souvlaki, avec un concept Foodtastic à Montréal. Voilà que Souvlaki Bar est né, ouvrant notre premier magasin le 12 septembre 2014. Plus de 5000 personnes ont assisté à la grande fête d’ouverture où Mihalis et Melina ont joué à l’extérieur devant plusieurs fans heureux. Very pleased with our dinner choice which we did pickup. Pickup was promptly on time. I was greeted at the door, with my family dinner ready to go. The hostess offered cutlery and napkins. The food was hot and remained hot upon return home. The food was excellent and tasty with portions being on the generous side, enough for a leftover lunch. Will be ordering again!
First time trying Greek cuisine and it certainly won’t be my last. This food was AMAZING!! The restaurant seemed pretty busy but it didn’t take too long for the food to get to the table. The waitress was amazing and helped with what should be ordered. The food came out piping hot and was excellent. If I was in that area long I’d definitely visit again, and would recommend Souvlaki to anyone. The prices seemed fair to me and overall I was pleased. AGAIN, the food was amazing!!! Please if you have the opportunity definitely give them a try!!
Very cozy place and very tasty food too. I’ve been living in the area for 4 years and never wanted to try it out from the look of the outside. But I wanted to change this time went and I was impressed. The waiter recommended the dishes because there was an offer and it was so good meal. Definitely coming back
Wow. Amazing Experience. The staff is very humble and welcoming. The food is so flavorful that I had the best Greek food here. Chicken Soulvaki, Spanakopita, Veggie Soulvaki, Greek Potatoes were so so good. The portion size is huge and very well priced. Cannot wait to be back here for an amazing meal.
We visit this place from time to time, we used to come more often since it was close to the office, but since Covid , we hardly go to the office, yet work remotely , hybrid. This place is nice, owner down to earth, always available, servers are decent, usually lunch time , this plane is always packed , so you may need a reservation, food is decent for the price and your typical Greek stuff, in general it’s worth it, a little heavy, obviously it’s Greek food lol, but surely we will keep coming to this restaurant.
Went there for dinner with my wife. I got the chicken gyro. It was pretty good and filling. A bit pricey compared to before Covid but it's the same everywhere now. The place is nice too if you want to have a drink with family, friends and colleagues. Hopefully next time we'llhave that!! Vegetarian options: They have many salads and different types of potatoes. Also, calamari and giant shrimp Parking: There's a huge parking outside.
My friend ask me to try this restaurant. It was amazing. I love the food,ambience and the people. Very positive energy. Will go again.
This is a place where you can have a nice Greek drink!! They have a list of tasty drinks with various alcohol type. We had Athena and Santorini, both were good! The waiter Andrea was so lovely and kept her smile all the time, she is so lovely. Then i ordered my best greek meal, souvlaky porc with pita, it was yummy!
Best Souvlaki place I've tried so far in Montreal. Always delicious food, big portions, Greek beer and wine. Very friendly staff and beautiful Greek music. I've been here several times and I'll continue to go back. If you like grilled meat I'd recommend the Biftekakis, which surprised me! Very affordable prices.Food: 5/5
This was my second time at souvlaki bar. My first time being at the Laval location, from what I remember it was good. We were craving some Greek food and we were nearby so we grabbed a quick bite. Very disappointed, we got spanakopita, it didn't look fresh at all We also got the 2 chicken gyro pita plate which came with salad and Greek potatoes. The chicken was dry and not much flavor honestly. The potatoes were okay but the dressing of the salad was actually good. We paid about 50$ for all this and it wasn't even worth it honestly. I heard that they changed chef but I'm not really sure. Im not sure if the location was the problem but I will not go back. So many other Greek restaurants in MTL that are so worth it rather then this.
