I purchased a brand new 2025 dump trailer and experienced major component failures from the start. Issues included the battery, pump solenoid, battery terminals, component enclosure, fasteners, caps, and door latches. The pump solenoid arced severely enough to burn a hole through the metal enclosure, as shown in the photos. Every valve stem detached from the tires, causing repeated air loss with no way to reinflate the tires. The dump box has also begun separating, with visible bubbling and deformation.nnThe photos I posted show extensive electrical damage across multiple components. All defects happened well within a year of owning this trailer. Despite repeated attempts to get support, Southland’s customer service has been nonexistent, and I have been ghosted multiple times. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend choosing a different brand.

What kind of manufacturer would try to save 20 dollars by using nails on plywood instead of screws? It’s been one year and I’ve had to pull out all the nails and replace withs screws cause the plywood was getting loose.

I purchased a 22' flatbed trailer in 2021 and have loved it. Last year I had an issue with it so I contacted Southland Trailers and my local dealer Springville location of Wasatch Trailers in Utah. They were both great in working with me to resolve it. Now I can continue using what I consider to be a great trailer for many more years and I'm very happy about it.

Bought a trailer 3 yrs ago and has been wonderful. Have filled it to the brim and more never had a problem. Would definitely buy another if the time comes well worth the money and is very!! Well built!!

As some one who uses dump trailers DAILY for business I can assure you that south land dump trailer are a complete waste of money. I got the 14,000lbs rated 7x14 which has a supposed payload of 15,000lbs guess they don’t reduce the trailers own weight from payload. In the picture below I had about 2 1/2 possibly 3 yards of DRY dirt6,000lbs -7,500lbs trailer refused to lift and yes I spread it manually by hand which came out to a little less than half full box. The horrible frameless construction of the box is just awful, when you start trying to lift the body in the air the sheet metal where the cylinder is attached starts to cave upwards and the body gets a really bad flex before it even starts to liftif it will even lift and that’s with less than half the stated capacity. The tinge is made of square tubing instead of I-beams like the industry standard for the supposed weight it’s rates for, the cylinder is also rated for less than the payload so I don’t understand why they uprate them if it’s not actually capable of lifting the weight. I had the trailer for just over a month and decided to sell it as it was more of a headache than anything, if I wanted to unload by hand every time I loaded it I wouldn’t have bought a trailer with the dump feature‍. Absolute worst trailers on the market, the looks are okay but the performance is just horrible. Only good to haul around light trashtrailer is most of that payload. If you are looking to use it for construction/aggregate hauling save yourself the headache and go with any other manufacturer with a known reputation. Also I would highly advise the telescopic cylinder, absolute monster when it comes to lifting black gooseneck below was filled with 10 yards of dirt22,000lbs~ and it lifted like ALWAYS!
