South Shore Marine makes the entire experience pleasurable. The entire team is honest, ethical and kind. I have very high regard for Tom Mack and his business practices. Owner Tom Mack and the entirety of the South Shore team are incredible kind and always available. Calls and follow up's are always completed. Quality before, during and after sales are strong too. This dealership offers the full suit of services. New & used boat sales, test drives, boat pick up & drop off services, electronics, hardware, accessories, gelcoat, paint, trailer sales, canvas fabrication etc. is all done in house by knowledgeable and passionate people. When my new OS325 was delivered, there was a slight vibration from one of the new Yamaha propellers. Within 48 hours, the owner of South Shore Marine drove 2 plus hours and installed a new pair of props onto my boat .Telephone calls are always returned promptly, and no pressure at any time. Working with the South Shore team is truly a pleasure.
Wow! What a great team at South Shore Marine!! My wife and I just completed a certified trade with South Shore Marine by trading in our previous boat and making the purchase of a "like new" 41’ Cantius. The process was seamless and effortless with the end result a nearly flawless vessel with a very short punch list from the boat inspector that almost mirrored South Shore Marine's own punch list. Chris Kedas in sales has sold us 3 vessels over 10 years and is extremely knowledgeable and patient. The finance manager, Ted Melching, works his magic with his lenders. Bryan Collins and Dan Klonk go the extra mile managing the service department and warranty department respectively. Captain Will seemed to have an endless amount of time to answer all my questions during the orientation and keeping me from crashing into the rocks not to mention he's a genius with restoring teak. The condition of this boat is absolutely amazing, which is testimony to the outstanding team that the owner, Tom Mack, has assembled. My wife and I are extremely happy with the boat and we will continue to not only use the services of South Shore Marine all year long but we will be their best public relations team as we are island hopping. Awesome service and best place on Lake Erie to service and store your boat.
Some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. After performing over $5,000 worth of work on my boat including some fiberglass repair, detailing, engine tune-up & oil change, outdrive maintenance, and impeller change, they returned it with a problem that it didn't have when they took it. Then worse, they refused to look at it and told me it's not their problem. Upon getting the boat returned to me, the serpentine belt came off the pulleys within the first five minutes of using the boat. Then, it repeatedly came off after each time it was remounted, making the boat unusable. South Shore's owner, Tom Mack, personally told me that he concluded it's not their fault even though they never sent someone to look at it. He further refused to send someone to diagnose the problem. Their complete lack of integrity to stand behind their work in this situation has been so severe that it undermined my past satisfaction with their company.
I can not express how a recent purchase of my Cobalt from South South far exceeded my expectations. Jake was always up for answering all my questions and was in constant communication on the delivery status of the boat. The most important part of my experience was how incredibly thorough South Shore was with mechanical systems on the boat. I had 100% confidence on delivery day that this was as good, if not better than new. I could go on and on, it is just so refreshing to deal with a company that communicates with the customer. I will be a customer of South Shore for a long time for all my boating needs. Really looking forward to the summer of 2021 with my Cobalt !!!!!
If only there was a 10 star review! I cannot say enough good things about the team at South Shore Marine. I’ve had the privilege to work them in multiple facets over the years. From pre-owned purchase, to brokerage, to general service, and most recently the purchase of our new Pursuit DC 266, I could not ask for a better team to do business with. South Shore Marine is truly a first class operation. A big shout out to Mike, Tom, Ted and Will for their attention to detail, professionalism and treating my family as a part of theirs. Looking forward to many years of future business!
Diane and I just purchased the new Pursuit 355 Offshore, the 3rd boat 4th if you include our Zodiac inflatable! in the past 6 years from South Shore Marine. I can’t imagine buying a boat from any other dealer. We have attended many boat shows and visited many dealers trying to find the perfect boat. But what I have discovered is the dealer you do business with is so much more important than the boat. Yes, the Pursuit is awesome, but I also know the follow up service, storage, winter maintenance and boating advice will be excellent. I would highly recommend South Shore, Tom Mack and his entire staff – a great group of professionals!
I was a little apprehensive purchasing a boat 1,000 miles away, but I could not be more pleased with the result. I purchased a 2020 Cobalt R5 from South Shore Marine, Mike Pasadyn did a great job of getting me all the pics, videos and information I needed. He is very knowledgeable and works hard to take care of his customers. All of the agreed upon details were taken care of by the time the boat made it to Oklahoma. Highly recommend Mike and this Marina.
The entire group at South Shore is outstanding. With Mike P.'s help, we were able to take a look through several different models and chose the Grady White that fit our needs the best. We couldn't have asked for a more informative person to help us thru our decision. Ted in the office was just as helpful and Tom even stopped by to greet us. You can tell that they enjoying helping customers, truly an A+ business.
I bought my boat from South Shore Marine because they had almost the exact boat I was looking for and were in an area where they would be able to sell my trade. We negotiated a reasonable deal and I was happy with my new used boat. It was the after the sale treatment that I was very surprised with. I feel like I shouldn't list all the things they did for me out of courtesy to them. Very professional, honest and friendly people. They will be at the top of my list when I look for my next boat.
