South Branch Bistro

Recently had our first full meal there since the ownership change. I had a burger, it was excellent, which is worth noting because the previous "Branch Burger" was my favourite, this held its own. On the other hand my wife had a chicken stir fry that was awful, it tasted like it came out of a microwave dinner, definitely not "fresh and local" as advertised. Our server was skilled and pleasant, but he was literally alone waiting tables AND tending the bar on a relatively steady Thursday night. This led to significant delays getting our drink order etc. A step down from the old Branch, but still decent. I am sure we will go again.

The place is a little smaller then I expected but it's a great place. Their nachos are awesome, simple great tasting nachos (just what I love). And it's a great place for live music nice and intimate.

A nice pub. We celebrated a 75th birthday on this visit, over 40 in attendance and the staff were super attentive and kind. When I've been there to eat, food has always been delicious and it won't burn a hole in your wallet.

I have had good experiences and bad. Their soup and sandwich lunch combo was lacking in quality, was wonder bread with lunch meat and a soup that tasted like canned soup. That said, I thoroughly enjoyed their pulled pork sandwich, so good. And I love that they have live entertainment, so rare in Kemptville.

great food, excellent atmosphere, and the staff are always super friendly, highly reccomend this place if you are in kemptville
