Pizza and Pasta place, taste okay. bit pricey on their food. Ask for Parmesan Cheese for pizza and pasta, and has to pay more. Pasta is good, but still also over price. the shrimp and calamari appetizers is very yummy and crunchy. Service is okay. I love the atmosphere, so bright, clean and modern.
Fun and busy Italian spot on Commercial drive with an extensive drink menu, generous happy hour menu, and fast paced environment.nnFood was solid, and the drinks are decent as well. The only complaint we had was that our happy hour order for pizza got missed so we had an extra long wait for food.nnOverall, good spot to grab a casual Italian bite on Commercial drive.
The ambiance is cozy, and the staff is attentive, making every visit feel special. If you’re in the mood for authentic Italian cuisine, this place is a gem worth discovering.nThis charming restaurant not only serves the best pizza in town but also boasts a dessert that’s simply unforgettable.nThe chocolate lava cake here is a must-try. The balance of rich chocolate and just the right amount of sweetness is heavenly. It’s the perfect ending to a wonderful meal.
Had lunch at Sopra Sotto on Commercial Drive, and while the food and ambience were excellent, the service left much to be desired.nnThe Meatballs al Sugo, Toscana Salad, and Caserecce e Tartufo were all delicious—beautifully prepared and full of flavor. The restaurant itself has a warm, inviting atmosphere that makes for a great dining experience.nnHowever, the service was disappointing. Our server Sopra S was not attentive throughout the meal, and the worst part came at the end. After paying the bill, I requested a receipt. She said she’d bring it but instead went to the till and started chatting with another server for 5–10 minutes. I eventually had to go up and ask again, at which point she had completely forgotten.nnFantastic food, but unfortunately, the poor service took away from the experience.
First time visiting here—overall, not bad. The food is decent, but the prices are about $2–3 higher than similar types of restaurants.nnAtmosphere: Warm and comfortable. I visited at night, and the lighting was dim and relaxing especially watching the wood-fired oven in the dim light—it was so calming, haha. Everything was clean and tidy. However, the background music was a bit too loud.nnService: The servers were nice, and the food arrived quickly.nnFood: We ordered the Margherita pizza and the truffle pasta. The pizza had a thin and crispy crust, but it was a bit too dry. The tomato paste could have been more generous. The pasta was cooked al dente and creamy.
