The bicycle sites are in the former “group site” so offer a sheltered eating area and social atmosphere, but the 4 tent pads are squished together. It would be great if the pads could eventually be spaced out. Now the cycling sites have 4 bear caches, one for each tent pad; and if you bring a padlock you can lock away your valuables! I find this is a wonderful campsite; quiet, clean, and decently priced. I’ve never had issues with noisy campers here, normally it’s very quiet and family-oriented. A great overnight bike trip when you need to get out of the city for a bit.
I had a lot of fun here with my family. We hiked the galloping goose trail for a few kms but not all the way to the top.
Really enjoyed the camping. What made it special was the immediate access to the Galloping Goose trail, and the river during the hot parts of the days. Great for cyclists.
Easy camping with no bookings required at a stunning place. Potholes for swimming and facilities for campers. Perfect camping spot for families. We had a great time.
I cannot say enough good things about this place!! Between the friendly staff the amazing location it is absolutely a phenomenal place to go to!! Do be aware it is first come first served so if you are not there early you may not get the stall that you want and definitely head out a day early if you're planning on going on a long weekend. Everybody heads out during the week and pre picks spots and then comes back on the weekend Playground: There is no playground in the campground or at any of the two lower parking lots Restrooms: Restrooms are out houses. There are no showers and they keep the outhouses exceptionally clean Dog-friendliness: Dogs, cats, pet friendly all the way Picnic area: Each campsite has a beautiful picnic area!! But there's nothing really major if you just want to go sit down and have a picnic in the campground. To do that you only want to hit one of the three lower parking lots and then head off down beside the creek. Although there are no picnic tables
Great setting and all no hassle campground. Lots of space for larger tents. Lots of water taps and bathrooms. No showers or laundry services.
Worst campsite. Wemt here four days in a row drove 2 hours they dont do reservations but have a waitlist when yiu show up then tell you to cone back meanwhile a waitlist is a reservation. Biggedt waste of time. Goldstream is way better
Campsites are a bit small for a larger RV. The swimming is excellent here and the people who work here were nice.
Nice campground but already close fort hé season on oct 17th
Nice setting, but something weird is going on with bookings. Visited someone in the campground. Sign by gate said 'Campground is full,' but there were TONS of empty spots when we got inside the grounds. There were still TONS of empty spots hours later, in the eve, when we left. And no one was there at the gate when we left, so they didn't know that the spot was vacant earlier than expected. They really need a better system.
