Solid State Computers

Decided to check them out one day. Small, not a lot of stock and was totally going to get a new GPU that their website said was normal stock and would have been cheaper than memory express, but they were all sold out. The individual I dealt with was pleasant enough, I think tho for any of my PC parts needs I will just continue to go to Memory Express in the future.

Small computer shop, but still had the CAT6 Ethernet cable I was looking for. Was happy with their customer service and pricing.

So impressed with these guys. Dustin was fantastic and very understanding at being able to accommodate my payment needs. Even the lady who answered the phone went outside the box to help me. Can't wait to get my new laptop. Theses guys are professional and friendly. HIGHLY recommended. And of course...local Alberta company!

I had a major problem with my laptop and went to three different big box stores - the answers were all unclear except that they would send my computer to a company repair shop in some other city for an undetermined period and cost. When I dropped into BCOM, I got clear answers on the needs right away, repairs on site in about 4 days, and no subsequent problems. Better to take your computer if you can and go in to talk to them rather than just over the phone though. My overall experience was outstanding and would recommend them to anyone with a serious problem.

I bought a custom built PC from these guys a few years back after my best buddy referred them to me. They did an excellent job with the build and they have always been exceptional at helping me keep it in tip top shape. They're all professional, courteous, very skilled, lots of expertise and honest. They do great work for a fair price and have plenty of the best gear to choose from! I just had them do some work for me and as usual, they were spot on. I would highly recommend them to family and friends.

I brought my computer to B Com to get fixed as it died on me, a black screen. After a week i called them to get status of the computer. They said it was not repairable. Cheaper to buy new one from them for $1900. B-com said it was a motherboard. Basically it was junk. I then got reference to a computer tech from friends so i went there. This tech got back to me in 3 days said it was fix. It only cost me $350. Far cry from $1900 or a new computer. My question is why doesnt B-com computer business have techs who can actually fix computers. I been buying computers from them for 15 years. Now i have second thoughts. I want to trust they can fix my computers as advertised. This undisclosed tech said its just a money grab and lazy tech.

I had brought my desk top in for service as it was running quite slowly. I thought maybe it needed a better video card and asked for one to be installed. They looked at the PCs specifications and said I also need a larger hard drive to handle the work I was using it for. I agreed and spent the over $500.00 for the upgrade. I took the unit home and tried it out: and found it was no faster than before. I returned to the store, told him it was no faster than before and he says oh well then you need a new processor . Not happy but gritting my teeth I asked how much will that cost ? They don't make this one anymore he says. but they will make me a new PC for another $1000.00. He obviously didn't test the unit after he installed the parts. nor did he check the processor, which I would think would be a pretty important component . You can teach a monkey to install parts but it takes a good technician to properly trouble shoot a PC. I was hosed for over $500 bucks. I will have the extra work done but I'll never give these people another nickel. If you'r looking for a great place for service....keep looking.

Quick and reliable..pretty much everything you expect from a repair centre. Also, I would like to say thank you to Gary. He fixed my laptop within a very short timeless than a week which took almost forever at the other place. He responded right away to every one of my emails, didn't overcharge anything.
