Always come here for the bakery buns. Love the quality and taste, worth the price. The pineapple BBQ pork bun is my personal favourite and it’s fantastic when it’s fresh. The buns are soft and airy. I would choose Soho over other bakeries when Soho has their full selection available. Would also recommend the milk tea + coffee mix too!
Be careful of mold when you purchase sliced cake from this bakery. Today around 5pm, I went to soho bakery and purchased 3 slice of cakes. I got the chocolate mousse cake, hazelnut cake and light cheesecake. I went home right after around 5:15pm and put the cake in the fridge. At night after dinner, we were planning to have the cakes. We tried light cheesecake first and it tasted” funny”. Upon inspection, we see mold on the light cheesecake! The cake is layered with white cheese and yellow chiffon cake. However, the piece I got have dark/black mold spots on the surface of the cake. Please see attached photo for reference. Service was fine but please pay extra attention when you purchase slice cake from this bakery.
Yesterday my family tried this bakery. We bought two dishes and some breads. Very surprisingly found this cheese bread was amazing taste!! But, the rest were just okay level. It’s not too difficult to eat, but may not wanna buy again level. And the meal dish comes with the drink. As you can see from the picture. The logo of the lemon was still freshly hugging with the lemon in the drink…..‍
First time trying bakery from this place. Overall okay. It wasn’t bad but I also wasn’t wowed. Nothing stood out. Lots of other choices in the area so I would probably try other places before ordering from them again.
I went there to get two Portuguese egg tarts, other bakery and meat sauce spaghetti this morning. She already packed two fresh tarts in my box suddenly telling me to wait and took the two tarts away without explaining and she went back to the kitchen. The other staff saying she helped me rebake them hotter. I already spoke loudly say I don’t need to I will do that a home. She ignored. After I opened that at home and noticed the egg part broke. My husband can tell they are overnight ones. I can’t believe they are doing dishonest business.
Soho is one of our favourite Chinese bakery shop. The shop is opened during lockdown. It is clean and well organized. They have many varieties to choose from including buns, cakes, pastries, Mochi & cookies. There must be something you like. The quality is good and the price is reasonable.
My fiancé regularly visits and loves the pineapple pork bun. The buns are usually fresh and soft. My only complaint is that sometimes the male cashier has a poor attitude.
Horrible experience! It’s the worst mango cake I had ever had in my life. The mango inside turned black already, the sponge cake inside was dried and not fresh. It tasted disgusting. My family and I had a bite and threw the whole cake in the garbage. Look at the pictures yourself! Will never go back to this place again...
I went there a few weeks ago and was about to buy a chocolate sponge cake. I quickly saw that the bottom of the cake have mold in it. I told the cashier who’s also the owner about it. He immediately apologized and took all the sponge cake on the shelf out to inspect. I thought that’s a one time incident and was glad at that time the owner seemed genuinely embarrassed and swore it never happened before…but I now see at least 10 posts from google reviews with photos that the food there spoils and mold all the time…It’s a known issue and it seems that the owners are either incompetent or purposely sell unfresh to spoiled food to its customers. That’s disgusting and Unethical. I will never go there again.
Just bought their chestnut cake for my wife's birthday. it's just....not sure when it was made. Look closely the cream was cracking, strawberry and chestnut were dry. Cream taste dry and sour. Everyone just took a bite and everything else will go to garbage. Called them maybe they already closed so no one answer. Not sure if it's due to covid-19 that affect the business, but this is not right. Anyways, be careful of what you choose and look carefully.
