SOCRATES in the Heights

It’s pretty small inside so we sat outside. The cashier/server was very friendly. The food was amazing! The Greek salad tasted so fresh and had lots of feta. Everything was perfect! I can’t wait to go back again. I had the lamb skewer and added prawns

Felt like I was in Greece just by the tastes alone. Heaps of tzatziki soothed my hangry self. perfect seasonings, quintessential greek flavours, textures, and fresh ingredients. It says online that it’s a take-out restaurant but they do have a few tables for dine-in. I paid at the cashier and the lady served my food. Overall great experience. Will definitely come back when I’m around there

We got the Bite of Burnaby combo. I love it cuz you get to try every kinds of meat: shrimp, chicken, pork, lamb, and beef. All very well seasoned. Rice is flavourful and fluffy. For $30 it’s a great deal and enough food for me and my husband.

Best Greek food in all of Vancouver by far. Kalamari is out of this world, souvlaki also great. Ingredients are so fresh, staff are friendly.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Socrates in the Heights and it was a delightful experience. I ordered the Roast Lamb and it was cooked to perfection, full of flavor and tender. The service was exceptional, and it felt like I was being served by my own mother. Margarita, the owner, was very friendly and welcoming which added to the heartwarming atmosphere of the restaurant. Overall, I had a fantastic dining experience at Socrates in the Heights and would highly recommend it to others. If you're looking for a restaurant that serves delicious food with a warm and welcoming atmosphere, then Socrates in the Heights is definitely the place to be!

Excellent Greek Food. The lamb and chicken souvlaki were juicy and very tasty. Healthy portion of rice, tzatziki, and potatoes. Staff were friendly and helpful. Will bring my parents and any of my out of town family members.Recommended dishesChicken Souvlaki Platter, Pita Bread

I hesitated ordering at first because driving by it doesn’t look like your typical restaurant. I read reviews and instantly thought I have to try this place. I had dinner guests and that’s not easy when you haven’t tried the food yourself but what the heck. IT WAS AMAZING!!! I am more than pleased with everything. Had roasted lamb moussaka, spanikapita, everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. Portions are very healthy, roasted lamb is heavenly spiced cooked to perfection and love the roasted potatoes. I will be a loyal customer and I thank you kindly for the wonderful meal!!! See you soon!!!

Has easily become my new favorite spot. Absolutely love how clean the food tastes. And it tastes pretty darn good.

No doubt the best most authentic tasting Greek food I’ve had in the lower mainland. We had kalamari, Greek fries, Greek salad and the chicken, beef, lamb and pork souvlakis. Everything tasted great and seasoned just right. My mom was visiting when we ate here. She was really happy with the food and she’s been in the restaurant business for over 40 years. We’ll be back!

I stopped by this place just before closing but they were very happy to serve me anyway. Had a nice little chat while I paid for my food. I expected I'd have to take it to go since it was late, but they said I was welcome to eat in while they cleaned up for the day. Unquestionably the best chicken souvlaki and tzatziki I've ever had! They're unapologetic with the lemon juice and it's absolutely delicious. I'll be heading here often!
