Sociable Kitchen + Tavern

My family went to this restaurant this afternoon. We arrived at around 5:30 and were shown a table within seconds and given our drinks quickly, however we then waited 30 minutes to place our order and then waited almost 1 hour and 15 minutes for our food. We almost got up to leave but with our youngest being 8 she’s was already complaining about being hungry, so we waited . When it arrived I sent mine back because it was cold. I was given another within a minute, and the waiter apologized. However the food was terrible! My husband picked away at his half rack of ribs and shriveled up fries because it was so dry and had absolutely no sauce on it and it was cold. I has the fish and chips and they were not good at all. My daughter enjoyed her salmon, but the price for it was crazy and her boyfriend had steak and fries and left half of it. For the 5 of us not enjoying our food and waiting so long for it to arrive at our table it certainly wasn’t worth the $120 we paid for it, so unfortunately we won’t be returning. It’s a real shame because the building was lovely.

Our waitress was great, but that's about it. The volume of this place was ridiculous, it was like being in a concert hall. The food was pretty poor. I had the fish and chips, the batter was like leather. I couldn't cut through it. I didn't finish one piece, and the fries were definitely sitting around for some time. They were floppy. Terrible. My wife also didn't like her food.

If you haven’t been to this place yet you need to. Their food is amazing and I love the fact they make everything fresh even their ketchup and mustard. I just find their food is very tasteful and the renos are nicely done. I know they have live music but I haven’t made it to that yet.

The food here is fantastic! They have a large selection of beer on tap, and even more available in bottles and cans. They have a list of rotating taps that they use to bring in new beer all the time. The service is friendly, and except when they are at the height of a rush, very prompt. The only things stopping me from giving this a 5 star is that the food pricing is a little high for me. The quality is very good, and the portion sizing is fair, but it is slightly more expensive than other comparable restaurants in the area. The music can also be a little loud for casual conversations. Very capable of servicing large groups, which makes it live up to the "Sociable" name.

I've been here a few times now and it is consistently good. They were quick to offer to fix an issue I had with one of my meals and even offered a few dessert as well. Great service, tasty beers, nice atmosphere.
