Sobeys - Hollick Kenyon

I went to Sobey's on Christmas Eve late afternoon to pick up a flower arrangement to take to my daughter's house on Christmas Day, something that wouldn't take up too much space in everything that day. There were many bouquets but not something pre-arranged that I was looking for. I eventually saw the Christmas containers and glittered pinecones and grabbed some things to put together myself. Upon checking out, the cashier offered that the man working in flowers he had been racing to put out more flowers given the timing could put it all together for me. He is always very friendly and put everything together perfectly and fast! Great experience, and my daughter will love it!

This is my new grocer. It is a few kilometers further to travel, but it is new and spacious, offers more choices, and it has a much calmer atmosphere than my previous grocery store, which I used faithfully for over 24 years.nThe price of groceries is essentially the same everywhere, but having made the switch to this place for my grocery needs is a far better experience. Wide aisles,less congestion, no long lines at the cashier posts. The dangers associated with the overcrowded parking lot at my old grocery shopping place don't exist here. No speeding grannies in monstrous SUVs and no pan handlers. What a difference. Hope the situation lasts.nUPDATE DECEMBER 21ST, 24:nI continue to be pleased with the situation at this Sobeys location. I just came back from there, and it's still worth the additional mileage to shop here. Christmas is 5 days away and I wasn't jostled by rude shoppers,I didn't have to wait by the dairy case for someone to finish reading the label on a liter of milk while they blocked the entire aisles and I walked up to the counter where two friendly young people ran my order through the till,carefully bagged everything and put it in my cart. I crossed the parking lot to where my vehicle was located 50 ft from the door and went on my merry way. Had I shipped at my old supermarket,I would have had my cart rammed twice,would have waited for 10 minutes in line to cash out because the bickering customer in front of me thought they were overcharged on an item they thought was on sale, that wasn't and I didn't need to clutch my rosary while making my way to my vehicle which I purposely parked 70 meters away but still couldn't access because someone parked their vehicle up against my drivers side door.nAll in all,it was another successful shopping trip with no hassles,no life-threatening situations, and no shady characters asking me for bus fare to Bigger,Saskatchewan.

Very clean and well organized store. Their cashiers are very nice and helpful too!nStore often had good deals on meat and various dairy products.

I like shopping in this store. It is always clean, organized and welcoming. It's a very attractive looking store. The staff are very welcoming, friendly and helpful when u can't find what I'm looking for.

I’ve been going to this location since it opened and gave it a good review. However, I’ve now just had a second loaf of their bread with hair baked into it!! Both loaves were the Sobey’s Low Fat White Bread, two weeks apart. The first time I gave them a pass. But really? Twice now?? I wish I could post a photo here of the hair in my bread but it’s pretty gross as one can imagine. Do better guys.
