Sobeys Fort Erie

This location is always clean and well stocked. The layout makes everything easy to locate. The staff are cheerful and helpful. The selection of Beer is good too.

Florist dept: I had Dave in florist dept create my wedding bouquet. I simply sent a picture. My bouquet was beautiful, I could not have been happier and it was better then the picture I sent. Thank you Dave for exceeding my expectations. My bouquet was beautiful, ready on time and reasonably priced! I would highly recommend!

I would like to share my experience from visiting Sobeys store in Fort Erie, Ontario Canada. After picking up a few items I approached the cashiers area . Most of them had been busy dealing with the multiple items to process but I noticed one cashier was chatting with the customer with the empty conveyor belt and no items to process. It was my mistake. From my previous experience this cashier is very social lady and have multiple friends in the area she has bleached to completely white hairs I was staying patiently waiting, hoping that she eventually notice me staying there and waiting to pay for my purchase and go and thinking that probably it would be a good idea to bring back those little ring bells to let know when another customer arrived. Eventually I decided to let that cashier lady know that I would like to pay and go and she could finish their conversation. For some reason she and her friend got upset. She told me that she has the right to talk with anybody. Of course you can, I replied but your priority is to do the job you had been hired to do. Suddenly she told me: “Welkom to Canada'' and “ Get out from my store”. I got completely confused. First of all I already got my “Welkom to Canada” 25 years ago and second- who is the owner of the Sobeys? Is this cashier Lady who can tell me to get out from her store? Hope not.

I’ve been a patron for years and always found the prices much higher than others in the area. However as of late they seem to be increasing their prices solely with the intent of profit. Don’t take my word for it have a stroll through the aisles and you will be shocked. If you do buy something make sure it’s prices right as they make errors all the time & with many vegetarian products you need to check the dates as they often are left expired on shelf. Store has good selection some days and most staff are pleasant some are just lost.

Sobeys is very expensive to shop. Some items I can get cheaper at my corner store. They raised the prices when they went 24 hours and when the hours changed back to normal the prices stayed the same if not higher.

Good quality produce with nice bakery. Staff helpful and friendly. Some of the shelves are missing products, just like everyone else I guess.

Absolutely so impressed with the floral department. I ordered this arrangement for my Mother's Birthday and could not be happier. The freshness, colours, and placement of the flowers is just absolutely perfect. She was so thrilled and I will definitely be using Sobeys again. Thank you!!!

The people that work here are super friendly. They keep a pretty clean environment and are pretty organized. But they never trust me with $100 bill for some reason LOL. I wish they still had craft blue cheese dressing! I don't know why they got rid of it

Prices on general items are much higher than any other grocery store. I used to support that as Sobeys used to pay their employees a much better wage then their competitors. They do not anymore and most make minimum wage to start. Most grocery stores have caught up to the "specialty items" Sobeys used to only carry. Their deli counter is still much more economical to buy from then pre package lunch meats and they have daily specials as well. Good place to grab a quick affordable hot and ready dinner.
