Sobeys Ajax

Why waste your money here?!?! The prices at this store are significantly higher than other nearby stores for the exact same products. I was literally gobsmacked while walking the isles and seeing the prices. While some of the produce appeared fresher than No Frills or Food Basics, it hardly justifies shopping here and over paying on everything else. Sure the produce area looks clean and bright with some items looking good, but at the same time I found moldy oranges, lemons, grape tomatoes etc. so it's not that well maintained. But the real shock was the markup on the canned and packaged food. Literally every item, from canned goods to boxed, including dairy was an absolute rip off! These brand name items are easily $1 or more cheaper at nearby stores. One can easily save $20 and more per grocery shop, simply by heading over to No Frills, Food Basics down the road. But if you have money to burn this is the store for you!

Just want to give a shout out to Sobeys Ajax on Kingston and Westney Road especially the Deli department! For the last year the deli department has been making custom sandwiches for me on a weekly basis. They are always ready and waiting for me when I arrive. The staff are very friendly and always willing to help, especially at the self check out stations. Way to go Sobeys Ajax!

Purchased 2 - 2lb cooked whole lobsters, 2 lbs of scallops and a big bag of mussels for New Years Eve indulgence. Worth every cent. Lobster filled the shell and I mean filled. Scallops were huge and succulent and the Nfld. mussels are unparalled for flavour. If you buy seafood in the centre of Canada buy at Sobey's; they are a maritime based company and their seafood and service are second to none.

Awesome place to pickup last minute item. My son had a birthday recently and is not usually a cake lover but requested one at 6pm. Sobeys saved me as i was able to get a ready-made one and ask the clerk to add a finishing touch in less than 5 minutes. Good customer service: pleasant, courteous, employee. Clean and spacious store

This store is great for finding more than basic food stuff without breaking the bank too much. You can pick up a variety of cheeses, and items for a charcuterie board.

For the 3rd time, standing glaring at the back for help at the bakery. The employees don't ask or offer help and a manager was literally standing there telling her to do other work while 2 people were waiting to put in came orders. We decided to go to Metro.

sometimes self check acts weird but the woman at self check on weekends is incredibly helpful! March 14 2020 just came back from sobeys Ajax.. no line-up, no crazy people going through some Armageddon, no empty shelves nothing like that however toilet paper shelves were empty else everything was fully stocked Nov 8 2020 Went there yesterday to get some produce for the week. One thing I must share that the reason I buy my grocery from sobeys is its best quality produce. I have been buying my fruits and veggies for over 2 years now and not a single time I bought it and they went bad next day or 2 which is unlike other grocery stores which you cant keep it long in the freezer. Very good quality produce and its whole wheat bread is great too and one can get real fresh right from the oven in the morning.

Check sobey website and it stated your store was open> drove there and it was closed. I am truly degusted that Sobey couldn't spend the time to provide customers with accurate store hours.

Worst birthday cake. Inside it was frozen. When thaw it taste so bad
