Dear Sobeys Ajax/ Kingston RdnI'm not really good with cooking asparagus, you had a beautiful bunch of them in a pan, to be roasted or bbq or baked, I dunno, I asked the girl who was unpacking salads and fruits, I asked her, is this cooked? She said no u have to cook it, I asked how long?? She ignored me! I walked away, I baked it for 45mins, lolll it got too soft and soggy, there goes my $6.and something. I went to the meat section, 5 of them gathered together chatting, when I approached the counter everyone split and went in different directions, I felt awkward to ask a question, I felt like I didn't belong in this market! The only girl that was super friendly was the deli girl, she came looking for me to give me my order. I could have gone to, Bestco, or longos or Metro.This location was not busy. So am I missing something here? Am i too black or too brown to get somenassistance in your location ???nHelp me understand what's going on here. I saw the difference when your staff is speaking to others.nNot too friendly staff. If that was me, i would be fired in a sec.nIf I do come back, I'll try not to ask any questions of your staffnTynMrs SnNorth Ajax

During my recent visit to the large Sobeys store in Ajax on Kingston Road, I was impressed by its massive size and excellent organization. The store stands out for its cleanliness and the professionalism of its staff across various sections, from fresh produce and dairy to seafood, meat, and bakery, along with a wide selection of diverse products catering to different needs. Additionally, the store houses a large pharmacy offering a variety of medications and health essentials. While the product quality and selection are commendable, I noticed a disparity in pricing—some items were competitively priced, whereas others were significantly above the market average.

This location has been my preferred grocery store for about 12 years. It’s clean, the produce is fresh, the meats don’t freak me out. But most importantly, the staff are all so friendly and helpful.nI’d like to give a special shout out to Maria, who met my son when he was only 1. At the self check out he was buzzing around, I was trying to scan my items in a timely manner as well as keep him managed. Maria asked if she could help, I agreed. She scooped him up and played with him until I was finished. Since then, she has always taken care of him, greeting him with big hugs, sharing her snacks with him, and even buys him presents for Christmas. He is disappointed when we have to go to another store as all he wants is to see Maria.nHe is now 5, he loves Maria and so do I.

A very large Sobeys grocery store with a Wine shop inside near the exit. The store is very spacious, the aisles are wide.nnHas all of the major areas a grocery store is supposed to have produce, fruits, frozen, meats, pharmacy, etc. They also have flowers/plants, gift cards, and birthday/thank you cards section.nnCame here to return a unopened medicine back to the pharmacy. Was a smooth return.nnOverall, a pretty normal basic grocery store.

Went to Sobeys this location Friday may 1st seafood department employee Justin gave great suggestions about the salmon and also made more rainbow trout for me I always appreciate great customer service he deserves that recognition. Sobeys should have more employees like Justin.
