The lunch special is a great buy as we ordered Vegetable Medley with chicken and wings, and Thai Holy Basil with Chicken and fresh spring rolls. Adding fresh herbs to the spring roll would make it more delicious. I loved the Thai Holy Basil as the vegetables were definitely fresh and cooked to perfection. We came around 12:30 p.m. and the waitress and kitchen was slow. We waited 15 minutes or a little more. Make sure the bartender is helping if it picks up like it did before we left.
Drunken wings, dynamite yellow tail sushi , holy basil fried rice with pork and beef. Ashai Japanese beer. Super delicious worth the trip & money every time. Complex flavors great made in house sushi.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: NoTakeout: YesDelivery: No
I have now been to Soberfish three times. It is almost like having your own omakase if you go during the slower times and sit at the sushi bar. King is an artist!! Please see the photos. Vegetarian options: There's plenty.
This place is really dope and I love their main entrees. They didn't have a lot of none raw sushi, literally just two options I believe. But other then that they have amazing customer service and most of the food items are amazing. But can't say the same thing for the sushi just cause I don't eat raw sushi.
I have had some terrible experiences with sushi being delivered and so I had low expectations, but it was surprisingly good. The fish tasted clean and fresh. I was able to enjoy one of my favorites which was the Unagi eel. I would definitely order from them again. The only reason I did not give them a five star review is because I had the Tako Sensai and it tasted a bit off which was unfortunately disappointing as Tako is one of my favorite things to eat. Otherwise, everything else was great.
Good eats! I like that the pandemic has not prevented sober Fish from still providing the happy hour menu many places have scrap their menu. The sushi is still amazing! My only gripe was with the Thai basil fried rice I asked for it with pineapple and tofu and I got that! That part was great. It just didn’t taste the same as I remember from some time ago it’s like it was missing a certain seasoning so it fell flat. All in all a great place to eat an amazing service to match! We didn’t need a reservation as it was not busy so that made it easy! Pro: no reservation fast seating still same great quality of sushi. Wait staff is amazing! Con: even though it was not busy inside Sober Fish it’s very busy in the area parking may be a hassle. I would say maybe skip the fried rice and go with a curry or noddle dish instead. Great eats! The sushi was fresh. I had the curry chicken with peanuts over spinach & bean sprouts. Great option if you want to avoid all the rice. The fish comes with rice but I didn't eat it. Service size was generous too!Food: 5/5
Went pretty early for happy hour but still it took a long time for the food to arrive. The food was alright, but wasn’t quite worth all that wait
One of my favorite sushi places in the twin cities. I will absolutely be going back. The presentation of the food was above and beyond. There is something for every price scale to eat here. The sushi and fish itself you can taste the quality. The service was amazing as well. I love how this hits a balance between homey and upscale. They even have plenty of vegan and vegetarian options! Vegetarian options: Lots of fish but there are plenty of vegetarian options - vegetable tempura, vegetable maki and more
Went for happy hour and they had great food for a good price in a welcoming atmosphere.
