Absolutely delicious. Beautiful preparation and presentation even on to-go orders. It is a lovely new location, and carry-out only right now. Masks requested for pick-ups, and even when it looks like they're not busy, they probably are. So mind the cue and the pick-up time. It is so worth it. The best and most beautiful sushi in town.
Love Midori’s! This is a family-owned, authentic Japanese restaurant, and the owner is awesome, very nice. Highly recommend for sushi in the Twin Cities. They’ve been doing takeout-only for a little while due to Covid, and more limited menu, but they are making their way back. I suggest trying Midori’s for your next carry-out dinner!
We ordered vegetarian sushi platters, tempura, some sides and mochi daifukus for dessert. It was a feast for the price and everything looked so nice. This was one of the best takeout experiences I have had during COVID. They are worth the little extra time it sometimes takes them to get all the details for you. What a treat! I plated the pick up order in the photos
We ordered sushi and sashimi from here for the first time tonight. We really enjoyed the variety of fish that came with both, and the cost was very reasonable. We ordered ahead and picked up at the Seward Cafe. So glad to get to support this business in hopes of getting to go back and eat in person at the restaurant when they are open fully again.
We really enjoyed our visit to Midori's. My daughter is taking an intercultural class in college and one of her assignments was to go eat at one of 10 or 12 restaurants, and Midori's was on the list. She had never been to a Japanese restaurant so she explorered a new dish and really enjoyed it. I stuck with teriyaki chicken which was excellent. We tried some fried wonton desert and ice cream stuffed mochi. The food was delicious from soup to desert. Service was excellent as well. It was a slow night so we got extra attention.
Cozy atmosphere with reasonable decor. My vegetarian wife was thrilled with the number of options for her, with nearly every soup having a choice of fish or mushroom broth. We ordered the vegetable dumpling appetizer gyoza which were quite good, and she got the mini bento box with vegetables tempura and sushi. She enjoyed it immensely, especially the tempura. My Kitsune Soba mushroom broth was good, but I was left wanting for more stuff seaweed, scallions, etc. and fewer noodles. My wife is very excited to come back and wants to get the biggest plate of tempura possible.
Excellent quality sushi, delicious and fresh. Pleasant restaurant, good service. Midori's is the best restaurant sushi we've had in the twin cities we've tried a lot. We got sashimi, fried scallops and gyoza, all amazing. This place embraces the slow food movement; quality takes time. Service was good, not rushed or slow. If you're looking for dine & go, look elsewhere. If you're looking for exquisite, traditional sushi made by Japanese hands, this is the place for you.
Under the radar sushi spot, one of the best town! Unique rolls and fun restaurant with some quirks. For more detailed food reviews check out fancydinner.club and follow us on Instagram @fancydinnerclub
Order took well over an hour, which was fine, but when we showed up at the pick up time it turned out they had missed our order and we had to wait 20 minutes in the parking lot. They threw in a free soup as an apology. All of this could have been forgiven if the sushi and sashimi were any good. It was very disappointing for the price point, we've had better and fresher sushi from the grocery store. Maybe it was a fluke due to pandemic, but we are going to give them a while to get resettled in before trying them again.
First time trying Midori’s and I absolutely loved it! Everything was incredibly fresh, and delicious. Extremely high quality for the price. Definitely coming back!
