Story

Smylie One Heating, Cooling, and Plumbing Company has proudly serviced Northeast Ohio residents and businesses, since 1955. As a locally owned and operated business our commitment is to provide our customers and neighbors with a single trusted source for all of their indoor comfort needs.

Founder, William Smylie started his distinguished career with Smylie Bros. Inc, a pipe fitters firm that specialized in heavy industrial and commercial engineering projects. And since then, the Smylie name has been one of the most trusted and recognizable names in the industry.

Today, the reputation and legacy of Smylie One rests with Steven Smylie, Gary Rosen and Rick Coates. The dynamic trio have been working together for 30 years to bring Smylie customers the ultimate in customer service and expertise – carrying out the company’s long-time tradition of “Service with a Smylie”.

There's a reason why I have been a customer of Smylie One for many years, it is because of their professionalism and superior craftsmanship. Every team member I've dealt with over the years from their office staff to sales professionals to service technicians have been friendly, knowledgeable and always take the time to explain what they are doing and why - and in way that is easy to understand. I never feel taken advantage or overcharged. They truly provide a stellar level of service at a reasonable rate with quality work that I never have to question was done correctly. Highly recommend!

From the first time I had Jacob as my technician I never wanted anyone else to handle my service calls. He is efficient informative and walks me through what he is doing or needs to be done. I trust him implicitly. Smylie One has a very good employee in Jacob

We had central air installed in our home by Smylie One and will be having a hot water heater installed soon, too. The technicians did a wonderful job with the installation and were very helpful and communicative about the process, how to use the system and the new thermostat, and how to maintain the unit as time goes on. Highly recommended.

Smylie One just updated our two 20 year old Unico AC systems to 19 SEER, replacing single stage condensers with smaller variable condensers to be unobtrusive to our landscaping, replacing single speed blowers with 2 speed blowers. and matched coils. Job involved many discussions and a few iterations for us to decide on exactly the equipment we wanted for the job prior to ordering equipment. The installers were extremely knowledgeable and professional, with attention to every detail of the job. Job site was cleaned at the end of each day. Smylie One even designed and bent a prefinished aluminum cover to hide the line sets. They were extremely careful of landscaping. System was installed to work as two-stage with our Nest thermostats. Would highly recommend Smylie One for a great job!
