A couple of years ago my son was arrested and faced some pretty serious charges that could have caused him to retreat form so many positive changes he had made in his life over the last few years. As a boy he had trouble with the law when he went through a rough patch (death in the family). All things pass and he overcame this time of reflection and was accepted to university. When the police raided the huge frat party at his house (shared with 5 other roommates) and found drugs they targeted him due to his youth record. Despite being clean for 5 years and being in Science Program he became and easy target for police. Right after the incident my wife and I were frantic to address bail and called the first lawyer that came up on google. This guy seemed he knew the system form the INSIDE. The other one we met with wanted an outrageous sum of money to even discuss our case given the circumstance we told him over the phone. We came to meet Sandee through a referral from another satisfied parent and met with her for a free consultation. She was able to explain the law to us, the powers of police and standard that the crown has to achieve to get a conviction. Everything I know about the law was what i learned watching TV. What I though i knew and what the reality was were two very different things. Based on her sound advice and support my son avoided a criminal record and is now a university graduate.

Sandee Smordin is the absolute best criminal defence lawyer in Hamilton. My cousin has been involved in drugs for years. His addiction has lost him his house, wife and children. When he was arrested the police found him in possession of drugs and charges him with possession for the purpose of trafficking. At the time he was a heavy user and the Crown would not accept that and tried to send him to jail for a long time. Sandee was able to fight hard for him, got his charges reduced and helped get him into a treatment program. Glad to say he is doing well and still clean. Thank you so much Sandee!
