I wanted to give this place a good review because we enjoyed ourselves the first time we went even tho it was to late to play pool! But when we returned early enough to play we were charged more for the same drink and more to play pool than we were previously told it cost . Same drink as before previously 8 was charged 12 and we were told the pool tables are 5 and was charged 10!!! Even tho it's only a few bucks still sucks feeling jipped!
when the tables are open i love this spot. but i showed up not knowing you can't play pool so i stayed for a burger and beer. the beer selection is pretty exstensive and collective brewery is one of my favorite producers of sour beer. the burger i almost waited 30 minutes for even though no one was around but the server was pretty nice and i was bored anyways so i didn't mind. everything was great. can't wait to play pool though.
This place needs a lot of work. I was originally going to eat at Theodore's but the place was packed and advised me to go here instead. Big mistake. My date and I started off by ordering drinks. My date requested 3 different drinks advertised on their menu. The waiter told her none of them were available. She ended up ordering a lemon drop and I ordered a rum and coke. The drinks were made horribly. Hers was nothing more than straight vodka with a lemon wedge dropped into a martini glass. Mine was a 12 oz glass filled with ice and barely any rum. I didn't even get a slight buzz off of it. We ordered sandwiches and that wasn't any better. After 25 minutes had passed, I asked the waiter to check on our food. Moments later he brought back our food. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich. My date ordered a chicken sandwich. The pulled pork sandwich was cold and had soggy, untoasted buns. My date said her sandwich was fine. There wasn't many people in there, maybe 30, but the acoustics were horrible. It was as loud as if the place was packed. The bathroom was also disgusting. I will say the actual building has a nice setup. It has many pool tables, shuffle board, fooseball, and darts. Overall, this place has great potential but a lot of ground to make up! If the service wasn't so poor, I would consider bringing friends and dates here. In the current condition, I advise all to steer clear.
Was told i could order food by gentleman that assigned pool tables as their kitchen was closed. When food arrived and i double checked w first guy his drunk manager said i could look at it but not eat it inside?? Was then cussed out when i wouldn't tip on my drink's as i would have to leave and eat in my car. 0/5 stars. Will try to contact owner as I'm a regular and have never been treated so poorly trying to eat french fries after getting the go ahead. Manager tried to lie and said he only swore at me because I cursed first/and disrespected his employees?? Was nothing but respectful to staff that told me I could order food. He seemed b*tthurt that earlier i sent a weak long island back that was mostly mixer. Needs to check his ego and put customer service first.
Nice bar, decent full size tables. Cheap felt ruins potential. Felt is all-wool, noname brand, and worn. Result is unplayably slow. Saw a ball cleaner, don't think it has been used in a while, certainly not on the rack I was given. Tables are crowded together, too close to each other and to the wall of chairs. Only 4ft where there should be 5 or 6. Such a shame, not too many places to shoot pool, this could be so much better. Location is good, much can be forgiven, but not the felt. Not at a serious place for billiards, dont bother.
I love this place as it has more of a Bar & Grill feel instead of a pool hall. Yes, there are many pool Billiard tables and a couple of Table Shuffleboard games, but also a bar and a lot of tables, which you can move around depending on the size of your group. The rotating beer taps are awesome, every night I have come here I have had many options to choose from, especially local brewers. The food menu, while limited, is excellent, all the food comes up from Theodore's, which has incredible food, I just wish they had more choices on the menu! I have had the Smoked Wings every time I have been there- they are excellent! Nachos are good as well. The staff are helpful, attentive and friendly, service is quick, food is hot and beer is cold! If I lived here, I would be at Smith's several times a week, but I will just have to make more visits to Springfield!
Great craft beers. Nice atmosphere fir playing pool
Great atmosphere and good tables! Went for a couple hours and had a blast! Would deff recommend if your looking for a nice night to play some pool and have some brews
Nice space with plenty of room, decent food. However the short little miniature bartender who is always on a power trip should learn some manners or get a new job that does not involve any customer service. I was there on a saturday night for a get together with old friends and we were playing the golden tee golf video game. They hold live tournaments on this machine that gives you a chance to win money, I was in first place with 3 holes to go which would take about 10 min to complete. At 130am, this short man waddled over to the machine and unplugged the game without even as much as a glance, let alone a question to see how much time we had left. The bar was closing in 30 min, we were spending money there for 3 hours prior to this and would have had plenty of time to finish. I do appreciate him wanting to finish up and close for the night but some common courtesy would have been appreciated.
Always come here to play billiards. Really wish they made better use of space and added a table or two more to play. There’s a lot of unused space up by the bar and on the side that could be redesigned better to add some more billiards tables. It’s a billiards spot. We want billiards! Always a great time & food is pretty good. Staff also wicked nice.
