Smith Rock Chalets is a family owned and operated tourist destination. The mountaintop retreat is open year round to accommodate all types of travellers.

Story

Just 15 minutes from the Northumberland Ferry Service and 10 minutes away from Historical Downtown Pictou, our log chalets are nestled amidst a natural setting with breathtaking mountain views.
Hiking and biking trails are plenty. Amenities include free Wi-Fi, satellite T.V., fire pits, hot tub, heated salt water pool and fitness room complete with a sauna. Enjoy our fireside dining room along with our fully licensed bar.
We specialize in weddings, conferences and other special events. We cater to your liking. Our Chef can help you customize your menu from casual to fine dining, buffet style or platted meals.
Travelling with a k-9 companion is not a problem, we are pet friendly as well.

Avoid going here!!!  This is the only time I've rated a company poorly online if you get my drift.  If you want a hot tub that doesn't work, lot's of bugs in your Chalet, and a manager is in incredibly indifferent I highly recommend staying here:)

I hated it.  I go to a motel I don't expect to clean my own room.  I don't expect to not be able to connect to the internet. I expect to be able to watch TV.  I don't expect to have to set my trash out and have to call the staff to get it emptied.  Also had to pay for ice.  They give you a tiny ice tray that wont even fill one cup.  Then charge you 2.50 for a bag of ice.  I would only recommend this place to my worst enemy.

A wonderful, cozy gateway is in store at these chalets. Love the views and wood stove.

Went there on my honeymoon and return every year in my anniversary.

Highly recommended.

Attending an event here now. Relative picked it. Terrible choice. They do not adequately plow their driveway in winter. Difficult/dangerous to get to. Do not go here!

Awesome place!!! Was here on Christmas with my family. Just incredible and the view ..... OMG!!! Really nice place to be. Need to have more amenities inside the chalets, not sufficient.
