Skerwink Trail

This is a great trail. Definitely not that challenging. It's 5.3km with less than 100 meters of elevation gain. Lots of steps, board walk, and sceneic moments. There are plenty of benches along the way if you need a break! Some muddy areas so bring some decent shoes. The views are stunning

One of the best hikes we did in all of Newfoundland. Varied terrain, not for the faint of heart if you have fear of heights when near the ocean. Came across a several moose near the pond. The vistas on the ocean bluffs were amazing. Worth doing again!

One of many excellent trails in the Hike Discovery trail network. Skerwink is by far the most popular and the parking area can be crowded in mid summer. (The Fox Island trail nearby and Murphy's Cove trail in Port Union are excellent alternative hikes that are rarely busy.) This 5.3 km trail features excellent coastal sections with views of sea stacks and surrounding villages from across the water. There is a steep side trail near the end that leads up to a lookout providing 360 degree views.

Spend a couple of leisurely hours walking this scenic footpath around some of Newfoundland's finest coastline.

Loved this trail! Great views, well maintained. Took us about 2 hours in total, but we sat at a few places to enjoy. The gulls are gliding right by the trail...neat place.
