We visited this restaurant so many times before, always loved their freshly served food and service. Today we came here for a breakfast and there were some spots on my potatoes seems like potato was gone bad but they still served it to me. Also, my plate was cold and bacon were soggy. Waitress offered to change it but i had already lost my appetite. When we got our bill they charged full price for a plate I was only able to eat my bread. Very disappointing. On our way leaving the patio, I saw so many dirty plates piled up waiting someone to clean them. They have an amazing view and horrible food. Hope they can go back to their old good standards soon. We will not be visiting this place again.
The place is conveniently located along the highway with a nice view of the lake. The waitresses are attentive and friendly. However, the food is terrible. We ordered grilled pickerel that comes with a side of fries, veggie and coleslaw $19.95. The fish wasn’t fresh, veggies are from a frozen package, coleslaw had a hair on it. We also ordered nachos - we were extremely disappointed. Nachos were $17.95 but there was nothing on it really except for chunks of oily green peppers and a sprinkle of cheddar cheese. Their drink menu wasn’t at par to say the least - I had a domestic beer for $6 or $7. The beer that I ordered wasn’t that cold, so after a few minutes it’s room temp already. We’ll never recommend to anybody.
Thanks to Erika our waitress for the excellant service. Our lunch yesterday was terrific & the coconut cream pie was the icing on my birthday better than cake. Thanks so much.
Nice country diner overlooking Chemong Lake. Attentive service and although the menu is a little pricey you get what you pay for.
I was there 4 years ago and it was the best. This time the vegetables were so hard thought I was going to break my teeth. Everything else was ok. Had a very hard time getting my friend in because it's not wheelchair accessible. I couldn't believe it. Come on its 2022 almost 2023. Get with the times.
We tried this on a Sunday morning, was pleasantly surprised. Nice warm atmosphere! Could have done with more coffee and scrambled fluffy eggs instead of flat, but all good. I'll be back!Food: 4/5
We came by boat, I have two young children.. we were using the park after we ate. We were told to leave as the fancy trailer park people didn’t like us using the park. There was on one else there. And we paid for a meal at The restaurant. Food wasn’t anything special either .
PROS: Patio looking over Pigeon Lake is highly recommended. Waitress was very attentive. Had the Halibut fish and chips with gravy. Delicious. Perfect portion. Price point was good. CONS: Gave 4 star only because of the interior which is outdated and bothered my allergies likely too much dirt/dust in carpet and walls. Unfortunately, I did not see wheelchair or walker access which made getting into the restaurant a challenge. Call ahead and ask if there is a ramp that I may not have seen?
It was pretty expensive for a tiny portion. I kind of understood the prices because it's a very cottage/tourist oriented location, but it doesn't excuse the small eggs, the 17 home fries yes I counted and the tiny sausages. That aside, my over easy eggs were terribly cooked, and the sausage wasn't cooked very well either. Would not go again.
Regular home cooking. Not fancy but very good food. Nice to have the boat dock out back.
